Hey Johan,
I,ve become one of your partners. I realize that Nokia 3110 classic phone actually has no rebooting problem.
I went to Nokia Care. They said that my phone was affected by virus. They also said that this phone is so sensitive. They advise me not to install any unauthorized JAVA application. They said me to make sure that my PC has no virus. Now I am careful and I am happy with my Nokia 3110 classic.

Pliz, get yourself into Nokia Care. They will remove all virus and your mobile will be safe. Be careful about the JAVA things. Nokia 3110 classic supports all JAVA application. Thus it supports virus too.

What about the JAVA virus? Nokia 3110 gets affected if unauthorized JAVA application is installed. Virus weakens firmware. The main bodmash is virus. There is no problem with software version if there is no virus. Nokia 3110 is obviously a classic phone. But users have to be more careful when installing JAVA application and make sure there is no virus.

hi i got this phone but not able to download a gud ringtone becuz of memory problem. Do u think it is gud to invest in memory card or not

I am using 3110c with 512mb mem crd.In the beginning I had the restarting problem, I found there is problem from mem card. I formatted the card, I don’t have any problem till now. (when i scanned the card restarting virus was detected)

the media/music player, i think is the main reason for restarting. try to swtich to another themes from the phone e.g. zodiac. then try again updating your music files/update library. this solved my experimentations. also, try not to access the memory card if the music player is on. i got 183 songs in my phone. hit back, if you already do this. try uploading also songs to the phone. you can also check my other posts previously regarding restart.

i'm back.. i already inserted the 512mb sandisk microsd card on my brothers phone and it worked just for a day and it started to restart again.. i reformatted the microsd and the restarting stopped.. i guess it must have to do with the media player or maybe one of the songs that i loaded on it is making the phone crazy! i really have no clue on what's making it restart all over again.. the version is 5.50 by the way.. right now, the files that the memory card has are pictures, recordings, and 4 mp3s.. i didn't loaded it up with more mp3s coz' we're just trying to monitor it if it's gonna restart again or what.. so far, since yesterday, it hasn't restarted.. maybe it's because my brother started to make a favorite list on his media library.. and somehow from there, the phone's brain just started to go crazy! hehe..

My Dear Friends,
I have heard about the restarting problem and I have also faced it and defeated it without any firmware change.
If you are a regular internet user then i am pleased to inform you that the inbuilt browser is not secure at all.The thing that makes our phone restart are the "INTERNET WORMS" some type of virus but not actually virus.But by chance if you used your browser and the phone restarts and immediately 'RESET FACTORY SETTINGS' and then 'CLEAR CACHE'.This will do it.(PLEASE USE OPERA MINI BROWSER WHICH CAN BE DOWNLOADED FROM mini.opera.com.
Secondly if you take contents from your friends via bluetooth then please take it wisely because Sony and others are not affected by these internet worms and then your friends may pass those worms to you.

CORRECTION! Jimmy there is NO such thing called 3D BASS in this phone, there is stereo widening thou, which is pretty useless,and the mp3 quality is PATHETIC if you connect it wit loud speakers,the sounds gonna crack for sure,but the sound quality is ok in headphones thou,and it sounds good on se walkman series headphones,use wit a 3.5mm adapter,and N73 mp3 quality is way waaaaaaaaay better than this phone,if you have ears offcourse,check it out yourself

Updated the firmware to v5.50 from v4.91 today and guess what, all my problems have been solved which include:
1.Error free playing of certain songs and videos which earlier used to either restart the phone or got skipped while playing.
2.Ring tones or themes selected from memory card do not get reseted anymore if data cable is directly disconnected.
3.Font size reduced in all the menus with the addition of a few options.
4.Faster response of menus.
I got to hand it over to Nokia, the update was released quite late considering the firmware is dated 14-08-2007 but now it makes me even more satisfied to have bought this phone.

hi,i already buying this nokia 3110classic for 1week ago..i never seen any problum at my phone..this 3110classic really a good cellphone,very satisfied mp3..the sound got the 3d bass and more eqalizer to choose..but the way i felt some upset is when i taking a shoot..the camera just only 1.3mp is very lose..but whatever,i also feel confidence to use it cause my sister nokia n73me mp3 always lose to me..i really hope nokia will born more nokia classic series phone..thanks

I am using a 512 MB Sandisc Memory card with approx 80% occupied by music / photos / games and other stuff. No problems so far.

i'm using this phone it is good when we use without memeory card. But with memeory card of 1 GB i'm facing the restart problem and after that my phone automatically switched off. Plz help curently i'm not using memory card coz, this phone doesn't accept it.

man, my phone still works superbly even after a day of restart due to experimenting and still sticking to firmware ver 5.01. now, i believe in the saying that curiosity killed the cat. well almost for me. : ) still sticking to 1gb sandisk card. my phone never had a restart after its recovery from its "darkess hour". for now, just looking forward to update my firmware version.
