Pliz try a fully loaded memory card with ur phone. I think u will be a little disappointed. However without memory card this phone is the best phone ever at this price level. Good luck!

After I bought this phone about 6 months ago, I have recommended it to about five people and everyone is now a very happy 3110 c user. No problems so far.

Yr there iz so such thing as restarting .. i only experienced restarting when i used an incompatible theme of nokia 7373, u ppl shud use nokia orignal theme, it wont restart and abt v5.50 it the best firmware no restart(when i had v4.91; it also didn't used to restart) wel.. its v.fast ! and sound quality become gud and LOUDER !! and moreover u get better speed in watching videos!

when i purchased my nokia 3110c, v5.01 was installed in it
n i never had any probs with it
then i upgraded to v5.50
the problem lies somemwhere else
may be the mem card
i guess mem card is the real culprit, hehehe

Hey all. ..looks the restarting prob is biting you guys again :p i dunno why the restart thingy is after you guys,well next time when you write a post,include the region that your phone came from,and for tanzil well there is a way to switch back to v 4 .91,even if your phone came wit v 5.01 or v 5.50,you can really switch back to the older version,well check on the back for your phone,under the battery there are some numbers,than theres a product key for different region n software versions,now if you go on the nokia site and give your product key they'll give you the firmware list that are available for your phone,so just check out the net for the nokia 3110c product keys,than go to nokia site and rite the product key for 4.91,you'll get the firmware,and there is a software available for changing the product key of your phone,check it on net,than you just need to change the product key at your phone and change into the firmware that you need. Those who got V4.91 fortunately shouldn't reply about restarting problem bcos v4.91 has no restarting problem yet.
All problems around Nokia 3110 classic when the software v5.01 and v5.01 obviusly have problems comparing with other Nokia mobiles.
Unfortunately software versions after v4.91 are not well competeble with micro SD card.
It would b better if there was any way to switch software to v4.91.

Good day to each and everyone. I am highly recommending you all to use only SanDisk Micro SD Card. I've already tried using Kingston, Transcend, SanDisk, PQI, Ridata, Kingcom, Toshiba and all of these I bought the 1gb just to search for the best quality memory card since the original Nokia Micro SD Card is not available here and I found out based on my experience that SanDisk performs perfectly and I havent encountered any problems that the other users have mentioned. So I am encouraging you all to go and buy the SanDisk microSD card since it got the best quality. I am still using the firmware v4.91 with the SanDisk 1GB micro sd card inserted and i have had totally no problems with it.

Yes, go for SanDisk. It has the Best quality.

I guess you are using Kingston. I have read your posts before.. Hey, I think its a high time for you to change the brand of your Micro Sd. Go for SanDisk. Lots of Kingston users experienced strange problems and i am one of them before. I think Kingston is not really that compatible with Nokia 3110c..

beware of the 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio adaptors when using them on the 3110.
generic 2.5mm 4 pole adaptors from electrical stores like maplins are useless.
nokias pinout configuration is different to standard and this is why 90% of them do NOT work.
you may seriously screw up your phone.

hi guys i have an idea of gettin a 3110c mob, through the post reviews i got 2 no tat mobs released after may r quite gd and the proper usage of the memory card helps 2 keep the mob wl so wats ur opinion of gettin this mob.....waiting for reply from exp ppl lyk u

ive had the Nokia 3110 for about 3 weeks now and i simply love the love . value for money indeed.
when i bought the phone it had the latest firmware installed and has been running perfectly until now .
i bought a 1gb microsd card for the phone . i have been transfering files through bluetooth until recently where i started to connect it through usb .
the problem which i am facing is that i have around 70 songs on the card and music player would update the library fine and play all the song . now it will only play my library only shows 1 song in the music player although the other songs are still on my sd card and can been see in all tracks, artist genre etc etc but still the music player will only play 1 song at a time and will not shuffle through all my songs . This had become extremely annoying
i thought there was something wrong with my microsd card so i formatted it . it didnt solve the problem . then i reinstalled the latest firmware . still didnt solve the problem and finally i restored factory, problem still exists.
help guys i dont know what to do now .
