nice phone,sound is gud, but sometimes it restarts automatically, can anyone tell me wat to do now,pliz mail me if possible

Hey chris,The battery is a joke! The only thing i don't like about this phone,battery sucks,dunno wat happens if i upgrade the firmware,but anyways if i start chatting wit the phone it would go for 6hours if the battery is full,in normal conditions wit 1hours of talktime everyday it would go for 2 days,and another prob is charging the phone,it takes years to charge the battery,i really hate this part about the phone

Hello to everyone! I'm on my way on buying a 1gb micro sd card. Please help me choose among these brands. I want the one that has the best quality. "KINGSTON" "SANDISK" "TRANSCEND" "KINGCOM" "PQI"? Please help me choose. I dont want to buy 1gb original Nokia micro sd card because it's like buying another phone. It has the same price of Nokia 2310. So please, help me.. Anyone?..

i cant say specifically
but i have not encountered any of the problems as yet
u know wat updates r always released to fix problems

hello, just bought this very cheap at ebay for $100, and it's really cool, the keypads are great for my big fingers hehe, but can anyone tell me how long should the initial battery charge be? many thanks ;)

Hi Debasish Sen, if ur on prepaid and on Airtel, call up 121 > 1 > "value added services" > "airtel live" > "more information". That will take you to the GPRS tech dept. Talk to them there. Cheers!

My Nokia 3110c has v5.01. Is it advisable to upgrade it to v5.50? What are the benefits?

Hey debasish, now the thing is the problem your facing is because of your service provider,CHECK THE GPRS SETUP, CHECK APN,contact your service provider and ask for the setup,and if your willing you connect your phone wit pc and use gprs,then just download nokia pc suite,available on nokia site,thanks man,any further questions write in details.

Hey kazi tanvir, if your looking for a economy phone wit lotsa feature,this phone is the best one you'll ever get, i m really impressed wit the keypad, esp if your a chat addict,this phone is made for you,the keypad is big and the plastic is real good even if you keep on pressing the keys for years continually,the plastic won't wear out,its that good.
And for some ppl whose saying unsatisfactory stuffs about this phone i doubt if they ever used it,but anyways the restart thing might occur,which actually DOESN'T occur wit my one,but anyways there is a firmware update already available depending on your product code,anyways man if your looking for a phone with 1.3mpxl camera,mp3,wma player,fm radio,bluetooth,infrared,and edge support, in a cheap price, then you should surely be going with this phone,more over the phone got 32mb ram check on the nokia site,and it also has 243mhz arm-9 processor,check on www.jbenchmark.com,so this phone is real fast for all your java applications,and to add an extra this phone supports flash objects,you can play flash games and also use cool flash wallpapers and screensavers

I bought a nokia 3110 classic two months ago. It works almost well, but when I want to connect it with GPRS it comments "Subscribe to Packet Data First" , then "Link not available". It is my request that please suggest me how can I overcome this problem and where I can get my Packet Data Software.

Hey olivepagla,thanks for the post man,you must be using the nokla 3110 c than :p,anyways my one never restarts, its a gr8 phone and its worth every penny,and i guess your using a memory card which came from china lol,check on the box of your 5700,the location where your phone was manufactured, and for the restart thing just change the product code of your 3110 and upgrade the firmware, but i am happy wit 4.91 and it never restarts! No further comments,thanks

for your kind information, i am using original nokia memory card which i got when i purchased nokia 5700 xpress music addition. i brought nokia 3110 classic 2 monthes ago n within those 60 days it has restarted more dan 60x20 times.

I bought this mobile today. I read comments about this mobile on gsmarena and decided to buy this phone. I am currently exploring this phone but some points.
1) The design of the phone is way too good compared to the picture.
2)It looks better than Nokia 3500 which only looks good in pics.
3)Big keys and bright back lights and text on keys is visible in darkness.
4)durable as the body is made up of good plastic.

Hey nik, thanks your post man,am using this phone to update these post also,this phone worth every penny,and man its twice as fast than n70, even thou n70 is a better phone,but compared to the price nothing beats this phone,i wish only it was a symbian os phone,and it supported 3g lol,my expectations increasing day by day

Hey murali, hmm for caller tune option,please cal your service provider,you want specific ppl to hear specific caller tune when they cal you rite? Just cal your service providers customer care, you can not do anything about it with you phone cause its a option that your service provider provides,its not a option in the phone,thanks any further questions please post in this site:)

no one can ever get such a feature packed phone at such a reasonable price
i sometimes wonder y ppl buy N series, he he
really nokia 3110 classic is just superb
some of my frends have nokia n70 n when i compare my phone with their phone they straight away lose on almost all aspects.
i sometimes feel that lot of ppl r still unaware bout this phone n its features

Hey murali, i am afraid if there is any option like that or not of setting a particular ringtone for one individual, its available in se phones thou, i don't think its possible in this nokia ,but i told you a way of doing it,by managing contacts in groups, for example you can make a group named Johan,then you just ad my contact in that group,then you select a ringtone for the group Johan,then when i cal that groups ringtones gonna play,this way you can make many group for your specific ppls and select different ringtones,hope it helps,thanks. any further queries please post in this site. and someone whose willing to know about the price of this phone,its around 125 USD now, and it was around 150 at the begining,so the price might fall a lil more,for different region the price might vary, and hey jerome, nice decision man,this is a gr8 phone,you can also check out 6233,which got stereo speaker and a 2mpxl camera and a qvga display,that phone is the big.bro of this one
