Hell0 to everyone. I have just bought this mobile and everything is fine. I just don't know why a lot of people in this forum complained about the camera quality. I find the camera quality great and everything is fine except the fm radio that has a poor reception indoors.

Can anyone tell me how i can put password on the applications like messages, gallery etc so that only i could view them? Plz help me out.

Phone is good and lowest coust also but lot of problems also

Nokia 3110 Classic: my mobile gets restarted when ever i inser tthe memory card in it.its a new one just bought before 2 months.this particular model of mobile is having this problem.the sound quality is very low.when compared with SE.Camera quality is tooooo low.

hi, i would like to know if your memory card is also new or older than your phone? maybe your memory card is already been damaged. do you experience the same problem if you do not have your memory card inserted?
try these things to solve your problem.
1. make sure that you inserted your memory card properly. there is a proper way of inserting the memory card as specified in the manual.
2. reformat your memory card into your phone.
3. lastly do not fully utilize the memory card's capacity. use only about 75% of it. this tends to be the reason for hanging.
4. also, make sure that the internal phone memory is not full. as much as possible only use the phone memory for messages and phone book.
i am using my phone as a mp3 player and also a data storage device and i am not experiencing any problem.

hi,
from almost two months i am using nokia 3110c mobile with 1GB kingston memory card. when i switch off and switch on, it is not starting properly, after a long attempts it is starting. but today it is not started for huge no of attempts. then i removed my card and started starting, how can i rectify this problem.

yes, you can install dictionary application. nokia 3110c is a j2me compatible device. you can get one at getjar.com. some sofwares are free some but most are shareware, demo and non-free.

photos turn only green when there is low light. this is true for any phones, even almost all of n series has this problem. just turn night mode on it you can see some improvement. also the lack of flash is also the reason for this.

sound quality is ok using supplied headphones and loudspeaker. however, fm reception is bad even outdoors.

Yes, it is possible to listen with 3.5mm headset using 2.5mm connector. Buy from nearest cellphone shop. As for the home theatre, I do not know. I do not own a 3110c. Ask the others who own one

i just wana say 1 word about NOKIA 3110c i.e PERFECT.low cost but almost it holds avery funtion....
best thing about this set"MESSAGING".3110c have very easy 2 use keypad. i like this set very much........

as of the moment it can only accommodate up to 2 gb. maybe if this product from sandisk will be released soon, maybe nokia will give us a "patch" / firmware upgrade to utilize this high capacity card. by the way, if you are i "diehard" music lover, my tip is reside your music files "directly" to your memory, i experienced a bug if you reside it in a folder in your memory card that is even you updated the music library, you will experience skipping and even if it is still playing the song, the song will halt near the end and play another song but the display still shows the previous one. but this one can be addressed as i said to reside the files directly to the memory card and it will work flawlessly. also i haven't checked it has bitrate restrictions if it can play higher than 192kbps bit rate nonetheless at this rate it is already considered as good quality.

Thanks for the reply, fireball. I could care less about the FM radio. All I needed to know was if the phone had a headphone jack. I'll just have to buy a 3.5mm headset connector so I could use my favorite headsets when I listen to my MP3s.

BTW, is the phone microSDHC(High Capacity) compatible like the N95 and 6500 slide??
It would be nice to know, coz soon Sandisk will be releasing 32GB microSD cards.

yes, i am using a kingston micro sd. size is 1 gb and i have no problems. it works perfectly. maybe some users improperly installed their memory cards and they are now experiencing problems. also, reformat the card first in your phone before use. actually if you can afford to buy orginal nokia then choose nokia but if you wanted same performance at lower cost choose kingston.

nokia 3110c has this nokia av connector which is 2.5 mm jack. i just do not know whether it can support other headphones because the headset is already provided in the package and needed to activate the fm function because the headset also serves as the antenna. the stock headset i may is of average quality anyway. a little more bass and it will sound like se's mega bass. you can change the equalizer and wide-stereo enhancer in the phone. but then maybe it can support other headphones because of the 2.5 mm jack and choose better headphones for better listening pleasure.
