i just got this phone..overall not a bad phone..i like it!!
i have a slight problem thou..while transfering mp3, ring tones and some files from my friends HP to mine..it goes into my mailbox and i m unable to move them to my gallery..thus i cannot use the mp3 they send to me which i really want..

i want to buy a 3230, can anybody please tell me whether nokia has fixed the restarting/hanging bugs associated with this set

its a very resonable handset, its got all the features u need, both infrared and bluetooth, whereas 6670 and 7610 both are lacking infrared. i think the fm radio is also a fine feature of this phone so i will prefer this one in the symbian series of nokia :)

overall nice phone, few technical problems i.e. speaker sound very low with compare to 6600, restart automaticlly frequentlly, casing not changeable

Shien: A firmware (FW) upgrade changes the system software in the phone. This software is on the Z: drive, which is a separate memory that cannot be written to. They can rewrite these files by reflashing the ROM with special hardware and software. Changing the firmware changes the phones system software, and so can add features, remove unwanted ones, change the way the phone operates, change the default apps etc.

hi, can i upgrade software in nokia 3230 with the one that's in nokia 6681, if i am correct going from symbian 6 to 8 ?

i am happy to this fone, almost all function that i needed packed on this fone esp. the fm stereo. i convert my nokia pop-port into a mini jack connector and im using a headset right now. f you want try to convert ur own.

nokia7610 sound quality is better than nokia3230 ,, but nokia3230 can run more applictions then nokia7610 ... Don't know whether u like music or games/applications !!! and too nokia 3230 camera is better than nokia 7610 >> so I prefer nokia 3230 !!!!!

can anyone help me out? i can't seem to use the Nokia Gallery application that comes with this phone..it opens up by showing the Nokia Gallery startup screen, then the application just sorts of shuts down..the screen just returns to the main menu like nothing happened..what should i do? thanks in advance!!

its is a good phone but its screen moves a little bit which is the biggest fault of this phone and this fault is in every 3230 phone it cannot be repeaed i baught it yesterday and thinking &will sell it soon....

If u don't have problem reading other files, probably u got a corrupted .sis file rather than memory card problem.
Try install other thing or re-download the file.

Rs-mmc ? it supports sis' file .. why not ? This phone is great but the sound quality is really bad (I owns it)... How can I improve the sound quality ?? help please ...

Er, i would really like to know if RS-MMC can support .sis formatted files. 'cos they dont seem to appear on my phone!

personally, i think that this phone is great. (well im using it myself.) Maybe the sound quality isn't that great. But i heard that it'll be okay after fw upgrade. The functions are great as well, as compared to 6230 (my ex-phone). The good thing is that you can download software and install it in yourself, and then you'll love it!

i think i'll recommend this 3230 if u do not mind the mono mp3 playback, since after latest fw upgrade the sound would no longer sound horrible....and if u dont mind the slowness in picture loading after picture is taken at highest resolution....
maybe the fw upgrade has also helped to speed this and the menu up???

i dont know but while i speak n no of times the cell gets switched off itself. I would like to know how can i remove this vibrator mode out my cell please help.I find that the battery gets exausted within hours .
