are u frm s'pore? i am. and i wana upgrade my 3230's firmware to the latest one mentioned in this forum. so izit true the new firmware removes the beep sound? any verifications from TC?

For the (V4.0526.0ch), you can only feel the different if you're using a headset.. it does not make the louder speaker to play louder.. and ya, the beep sound is gone..

Hi all,
Does the new 3230 firmware (V4.0526.0ch) has louder stereo speakers and the ringtones have no beeps before the ringtone????

Different people different view. Different usage different comment. Use ur own wisdom to choose hahahaha. I suggest u go to a handphone shop. Ask for a demo set to test it and check if the sound is ok to u and the speed of the phone ok to u.... and get a feel of the phone. And...keep in mind that nothing is perfect in this world... Muahaha. Also, an apple is an apple, a durian is a durian, a banana is a banana..... ;-) Hmmm i wonder if what I type here making any sense or not.... hehe... ahhh my mind is tired...

dominuz: to your dismay: just to inform you why GSMARENA is around... to let users know the cons & pros of a phone... The specification of the phone have already been listed in great detail and worst come to worst, review is out... yet you went ahead to bought the phone? What have you more to complain? If you have bought it despite reading the specs/reviews - IF the outcome of the phone turns bad, isn't it true its the fault of the "owner" of the phone is in the wrong of purchasing it? or should i say that you have come to terms to accept its disadvantage before purchasing? don't complain and for the price tag this phone have given you, what more do you expect and have to complain about?

Matt: Mono = Monophonic. Mono types of speakers only uses one transmission channel whereas Stereo = Stereophonic uses two or more channels to produce sounds which could produce sounds much more precise.

i m a n3230's owner...the worst part of it is its mp3 tone..realy sux...the volume is so soft..it's worse than n6600...no joke...othr than that, it's a nice phone...big display, high qualty camera, included various kind of functions...but i suggest u don buy this phone...

I think the phone is really outrageous and if ur not using it,u are not with the right phone.I think it has all the qualities a phone should have

Rubbish!! Upgraded last week, within TWO hours the screen was freezing, got a replacement, and within FOUR days the screen froze, couldn't even switch it off to re-boot, had to remove the battery. Have always been a Nokia fan, but now it's bye bye Nokia.

Hi people,
is it true that with a newer firmware our 3230 is able to play mp3 in stereo? I find that difficult to believe.
Can anyone confim that?

hi all,
just to share this to all the N3230 owner.
i've just got back my phone nokia service center for firmware update today and found that now my phone was able to play MP3 in stereo(with ear piece).. but of cos sound quality is not that prefect but at least it is not playing the usual mono sound.. the version of firmware that was updated to my phone is (V4.0526.0ch)..

Hi Mie, i HAD hence HAD a nokia 3230 but it was sooooo crappy that i flicked it off!!! i recomend the 6670 as they are less buggy and have faceplates i think???

its a comfortable smartphone. but it not really perfect coz it wont vibrate went receive sms in silent mode
