beginner: just to let you know, if you have a card reader, simply dump the ultramp3 application into your eg. Others folder - then proceed to Tools > File Mgr > Select Memory card memory > Others > simply open that ultramp3 application and follow the steps to complete installation :)
iamlica: yes there is - if you're going for Nokia Original casing it would cost you an approx amount of $35 - $70 it depends actually - fake casing are cheaper though :) contact a professional to do the changing of casing for you :)
VIkas: i would greatly recommend 3230 between those 2 models since my ex-handphone was a Nokia 6600 :) but in terms of stability, 6600 is far superior plus a better OS - and - in terms of functions, 3230 is the superior one.

I am confused between 6600 and 3230.. which one should I go for and why.

is it posible to change this phone's casing? what if it gets scratched? then you'll have to live with it forever? is there a way to change the case of the phone?

Everyone pls help!!!
im a new user for symbian phone. im currently bought this phone n need to install some software into the phone but dunno how to do it...
for example me already download 'ultramp3' from internet to my pc. after that i extract it from 'winzip' to 'nokia application installer file' (the folder got 4 boxes wan). then after that what should i do so dat the application can install in my phone???
ps: i got card reader n already install 'nokia pc suite' n just dunno how to move the file to phone only...
i would very appreciate anyone who help me solve the problem. thanks...

TC: hmm... my friend have it as 3.0510.2ch but i don't see a point to update it as certain features which i wants it to be fixed have yet to be fixed - so no point upgrading it :)
MAy: to your dismay - the cable does NOT included in the package - the package only contains the following items: Charger, Handset, Battery, RS-MMC 32mb, Manual. that's it :)

My frens all are having this phone.. they say its great.. I had seen it myself and i agree that this phone is great..
But one question in my mind is: Does this phone model come with a data cable? Cause in Singapore, My frens say don have.. But from some ppl comment in here, They had the data cable thingy in their package. CAn tell mi what is suppose to be in the package??

My firmware is 3.0510.0ch... slightly older firmware. But I wonder why when Nokia Care Roadshow came last month, they still say I am having the latest firmware already...

My mssgs list in INBOX shows names in LAST NAME FIRST order though, my contacts are in FIRST NAME FIRST order!! I've tried searching everywhere for the option/setting but find nothing.. Can anyone help me..??

hey guys if ur fone is having a problem that is if da fone is restarting or if its running slow or if it hangs ; then tats bcoz too many apps r on ur startup just like in windows
n da remedy is
ull need to download n install autoexec60 from www.dotsis.com/vb da firmware functions just like msconfig on windows hint : just disable unnecessary programs from startup n believe me da fone functions a lot more faster n smoother

TC: oh ya, i don't face that problem - i have to admit, my phones restarts but not as often as what people have actually mention it here. Mine - i doubt it have hang/restarts for the last few weeks...
for your info - the things i normally did with my phone is to watch Animes/Movies using Smartmovie, listening to mp3s using Ultramp3, listening to its stereo radio via its visual radio last but not least, i play both rally and Skyforce v1.2 in it.

Anuj: well for your info, for games wise, this model should suits well.. but for music player wise... its a dual-mono player and its relatively soft - so take note, if music isn't the key factor... its up to you to grab one.
TC: i have not updated it yet - was awaiting for a longer period before i go and update it.
Current Firmware: 3.0512.0, what about yours?

I think the official zoom level for the built-in camera program is 3.3x
BTW, Mr. Nokia 3230 user, what firmware r u having?
Anyway, just wanna ask u guys whether this happen to u. Normally I often find the phone restart when I try to run a program/games with sound enabled. If i turn of the sound, it is less likely to hang or reboot. How about u guys?

I bought the phone on ebay.
I think this phone is from ASIA so
i don't think Nokia Canada will
fix it as i'm in Toronto. I will
try those phone repair places in
Toronto i guess. If it was dust,
the keys should work sometimes, but
not even once can it react. i'm so
hurt right now as i just got this phone
And i 'm not going to deal with the
ebay seller cause i already had many problems with him about the delivery.
I"m so lost. I love this phone :(
