Hi Guys ,
I am thinking of buying the 3230 but am now conserned about all the problems on the phone.
I have a 6600 at the moment and is a piece of S**t it freezes all the time and turns off , my battery lasts maybe 3 hrs standby and i get no calls through.Magor software probs as well.
Yoiur opinions are appreciated.

what i know is firmware can be downloaded by service centres.. it use special cable..the port is located under the battery(those golden dots) and not using the dku-2 cable.

fm radio not just an application..it use hardware like fm antenna built in..fon which has no fm radio cant play radio like nokia 3230..but i found fm radio application,but it use gprs which will cost u.

Does anybody can tell me how to upgrade my firmware and where to download from.I have PC connecting wire so I think it is enough but please send me informations about web I can download and how to do that. Thank you very much. Peter

One of my relative got this phone recently.
Just wanted to let everyone know : THE QUALITY OF THE AUDIO PLAYER IS PATHETIC. Therefore, if you're looking for a phone that you can use as an mp3 player, buy another model.
Also, the quality of the pictures is allright but not great.

you can use anniversary for birthday reminder.
it will still remind you annualy even though, it doesn't ask for birth year.
if you're still not sure, do a little test.
make a birthday reminder for today.
then "go to date", change the year to 2006 or whatever year you prefer.
there you'll see the reminder is repeated.

I have a 6230i pretty good..Samsung D500 is great But no more than 96mb memory. Sony K750i is good if u wait a month while they sort out the firmware.All the nokia Symbian fones have some sort od downside..Its really hard to choose a good phone if you dont try it for a week or so, i reckon you need at least a week to decide whether a fone is good for you, cos written details are not good enough, you gotta try it yourself....Bye

hey guys,
i'm new to this and i have a 3230 but the thing is on the phone is that it has a shared memory feature and this does not allow you to change your messages onto the MMC(128mb) so i cant transfer an mp3 file. other than that the phone is pretty good althoght the sound from the mp3's aren't upto the mark.

After reviewing gsm arena's every single review.. and badmouthing about this phoe, i decided to buy it, why, b/c its most cheap of all other fone.. my verdict !! BEST PHONE OF THE YEAR!!! every thing is so cool! Truth is that i can showoff with it!! One very minor con is the memory . 32MB is enough , but wen u come to know that the size of a pic cud easily touch 450 kb ! then yes it is small( pics taken from 6600 ranged from 20 to 35 kb only, also tells the different of the quality of the pic) .....BUY IT !!!

Hi,guys
I bought this phone on 12/3/2005 i had a system crash on 11/6/2005.the warranty was from 04/05/2005 to 04/05/2006, the phone was sold to me before time.it has a good display but mp3s not for this phone horible sound but the radio is stereo.i am not at all happy with the sound,every thing else is fine.

hi.. i was planning to buy this phone cos i kindda like this.. great features and everything.. but after reading some of the reviews you guys posted, i was having second thoughts.. i am a music lover so i wanna know if the sound quality, radio and mp3 is really bad.. or tolerable? cos i like this phone a lot!! can you pls recommend if what phone to buy? i want something that is quite like 3230, i mean the features but has a very good sound quality (mp3).. so guys, what phone suits me? i need a little help.. anyone??:)

(I was buyed an used phone, about 2 months old)
Example:
When I'm start visual radio, the beep is hear on the right earphone. After start the radio, then I can hear it in stereo (both earphones)

can anybody tell me how to add birth day remiders(remind me every year) in 3230 phone. in calender->anneversary potion only it remind me for current year. in meeting it is not asking for bithday year ?

Recently one of my pal bought a 3230 kit, and it seems that the key-pad arrangement is not that comfortable. Also, the 'inbox' can't be moved to the MMC card. This will restrict the size of the file falling via bluetooth to the free-space in phone memory. One great this abt this model is the camera.
