U get sound only in one earphone?? How come?? I get sound coming out both side. The only thing is it's MONO, i.e. same thing coming out from both side. Better check if u got a defective set oh.

1. Via a compatible Bluetooth adapter
2. Via a IRDA (Infra-Red/Ray)
3. Via a Nokia Connectivity Cable DKU-2

To your dismay as well - i have no problem listening to both earpiece for mp3s / song files store in the phone - both-sides plays normally instead there is a difference due to its a MONO player.

To your dismay: it doesn't lags when storing photos - because you are saving it as a mpix photo instead of a vga 1 - if you are really keen are having a fast save - then tune down your camera quality to a vga 1 - everything will store fast as etc.

Apart from the design, I dun really like this phone, so much lagging, the worse thing is when takin a pic, it delays for a few second after pressing the button to capture, so what u see on the screen is not exactly what u get. SIGH, even on the phone it takes ages to load.

To bijoy:
I havn't got freezing with my phone, sometimes the phone is restarting, maybe when havn't got enough heap memory.
But restarting about 10-15 sec, realy not a big troube.
I adwise to store most of data/progs/pics on MMC card to leave more memory to phone :)
Big problem is: the phone is mono and can hear only in the right earphone :(
Only the FM Radio is Stereo and can hear both side of earphones...
Dust is a small problem, because when light is on then not really see, just on white background.
Recommended to keep the phone in closed case.

hey ppl,
i have heard that nokia 3230 has lots of freezing problem..and we have to keep turning on and off..and also i heard that there is lots of dust entering the phone...can anyone tell me if this is true..and also plzz reply back fast as i have plans for picking up a 3230****

hay ppl ive paid for 1 of these phones and was wonderin if they come with PC Suite??? i paid AU $585 with a 512mb MMC Card hehehe

Well i just bought a nokia 3230 and the mobile phone has no USB port but still there r 3 or 4 more ways to get connected with PC .The phone 3230 is the BEST EVERRRRRRRRR

Tom, for that case the 3230 doesn't suit you. 1. it doesn't have a equalizer, 2. for mp3 or what so ever files it will be playing in a mono format tone.

hey guys can anyone tell me that when you play Mp3 or ACC or any format for music does it play in mono or stereo in real player or its music player plz let me know as i am planning to buy. i listen to rock so need proper effects so plz also let me know how are the effects and does it have a equalizer or no !!plz help me .. thnks ..

I just bought my 3230 in May.Boy, was i a happy girl...that is until now.I never dropped my phone or anything.But today things just got worse for me.First it errr 'hanged'..(i do know abt closing all my applications so that the hp wont hang)- memory is 128mb.tonight,i cant even switch on my hp..*sob* Guess i have to buy a new hp..whats wrong with my hp??

Bought the Nokia 3230 phone brand new. the camera performance is soo bad, is this normal that you have to wait for a few seconds after taking the picture.
Is there a new OS version, maybe performance would be better

Press menu button to see menu screen, than press again menu button and hold it. You will see if any software is running. Shut them. Your phone will work faster.

The earphone actually acts as the FM antenna. I don't think u can have radio without any antenna.
sabri özarslan's idea is cool. No harm trying it.
I was wondering that day whether there's a dedicated antenna-only adapter that is without the earphone so that I could use my bluetooth headset to listen to radio. Anybody got or ever saw such item? Wow if there none in the market, I wonder if I should go and sell my idea and patent it muahaha!! (...day dreaming...)

U bluetooth from another phone or from PC? One of the drawback for nokia phone is when u bluetooth from another phone, they send to ur phone inbox 1st which uses the phone memory. Or was it the RAM?? Anyway, u will be having problem bluetooth-ing (hehe new vocab) big files over.
If it is from the PC then did u check properly where u dumping the files. Memory Card is at drive E. BTW, bluetooth is really slow when u r talking about MP3 or movies. One of the better solution is, go get a card reader and transfer direct to ur memory card. It's much much faster! I copied a 90+mb avi file over in about 1min plus!! Well if u r transfering from another phone... that's too bad. What u need to do is get the file to ur PC and then transfer to ur phone.

You can't use 3230 radio without antenna. In fact earphone cable is an antenna. If you buy a cheap earphone, cut its cable about 40 cm then you can carry it very easily.
