I want to know if it can record with 3GPP video streaming ... or just like 7610 and 6670 the videos recorded are crap ... and it loses a lot of frames ... I have 6230 and it records really good ... the recorder is good ... 2 bad the camera is 0.3mbpix ... please, anyone who has this phone ... tell me ...

how come when i check my memory card it says there are 15mb free space but when my friend try to send me a song through it says that there are not enough free space? Another thing i encounter is thatwhen i change to silent mode, the vibration dun work when i receive a msg

I saw 3230 in penang n its bout 16**Rm n 15** for 7610. some other place might be cheaper or more expensive.....

1. tell me is the keypad too low and makes it difficult to type?
No it's OK. Next phone I get will be a clambhell with decent larger keys & fonts.
No nokia one available at present. Seems Nokia is run by idiots who didn't keep their eye on the ball.
2. how bad is the quality of mono mp3?
Haven't tried mp3's yet.
3. it got only 6MB internal memory, so is it slower than 6630,6670,7610?
It's no slower than 6630. Nothing could be slower than that thing !
4. sombody said the icons hav been poorly done? Only difference is cursor seems to be over top right icon instead of centre one which is irritating.
5. camera quality as compared to 6670,6630?
which one should i buy: 6670 or 3230?

Camera should be same. Almost as many pixels.
I do find the Nokia symbian fonts to small when texting on either the 6630 or the 3220.
I also wish the screen light would stay on longer on the 3230 but it has earlier version of software & I don't think it's an option to change it.
Can anyone tell me why they let you adjust the screen saver but not the time the backlight stays on ?
I really am annoyed with Nokia getting these simple things wrong.
Only reason I've finished up with amother nokia phone is cos I signed up for my vodaphone contract in a Nokia shop so I'm stuck with Nokia.

Anyone know how to make screen stay lit for longer when keys not touched ?
I've set screensaver timeout to 10 minutes yet the screen light goes out after just 15 seconds. Is the screensaver something different ?
I must say I'm glad I've ditched the 6630 in favour of this phone. The 3230 is much better at getting signal from network & doesn't keep dropping out of network coverage like the 6630 did. Probably becuase the 3230 is not a 3G phone. Who needs 3G anyway.

Re: Active diverts. It may mean your service provider has activated voice mail on your phone. That is why active diverts display. hope this helps =)

the solution for silent mode with no sms alert.
-Name a new profile something similar to "silent"
-Get into a quiet room and use the recorder to record a few seconds of silence.
-set it as the sms ringtone, it vibrates but plays no sound.

hi teddiebear! pictures taken by your camera doesnt look compressed? for example, taking someone else's face...the outcome doesnt make the face look flattened?

I have the Dutch version for a while now, and I don't have any problem with the camera!
PERFECT picture quality on the PC.
I don't have webspace other while I could show it.
And:
- The 'beep' is frustrating
- Quality MP3 is middle
- Phone is pretty fast (in reviews people say its slow)
- Radio is excellent!

I finally have a solution to the irritating Sms
beep problem.
It required a lot of serious analysis but Iv finally come out with the breakthrough solution..

~ Just hold your 3230 upright in your palm.
~ Create a solid momentum with your strength
~ THROW IT OUT OF YOUR WINDOW AS FAR AS POSSIBLE
You ll never face the beep problem again.

Friend the specifications just mean that the phone is compatible with a USB-port. You have to buy a DKU-2 data cable separately from a nearby dealer or Nokia showroom. I got it last week for 750 Rs.
