I'm not exactly facing this problem of getting flattened images of faces and spheres, but just try this out as i was very happy with the results.
Just go to the gallery and open the required image; rotate it left and finally view the image in full screen mode(can be selected from the options menu). The image looks much better doesn't it !!!!!

as i know, 3230 is really 1.23 mega pixel, its just an error, because here in dubai also, the print ads are saying that its 1.3 mega pixel but its not...
for the themes, all i know, is that is should be in .SIS format, for you to able to transfer it 2 your mobile.
im still worried why my video player doesnt play clips very good compared to nokia 7610, wherein it is much more better.
and when i always use my mobile, why do i need to recharge it daily, because thats what happening with my mobile now, i need to recharge it everyday..huhhh!
aside from that, 3230 ROCKS!
everybody in the school has mistaken that my mobile phone is an ERICSSON...hahahahha!

is there a usb port in the phone. coz the specs includes usb port but could not find one in the phone

I dont know y my phone keep saying active diverts when i call no matter who. I aready canceled it in my phone and from my service provider. Is this a bug or what??

multiply 1280 by 960 (resolution) you get, 1,228,800. That means the actual pixel count is 1.228MP. imo, it has been rounded off for commercial purposes.

The issue of Nokia 3230 having a mono mp3 playback is not that big issue for me. I own a motorola e398 and this one is my first nokia phone having a symbian OS. But definitely, I love nokia 3230 better even motorola has a stereo sound. I'd tried to compare their sound but, just a very very little difference in it that you could hardly noticed. Overall, this phone rocks at this moment.
But i have a question :
it seems i cant find the thread related to my query.
My nokia 3230 doesn't have any applications installed yet but i wanna know on how i can add new themes given the fact that i have the following skins/themes already on my computer:
ae.skn
fallout.skn
i want to add those theme/skins on my 3230.
what do i do?
i know that i need to transfer these files to my phone memory or memory card using USB bluetooth/IR, but what folder? or do i need to install another third party application to do these? (e.g. Fexplorer??)
Does Fexplorer is working on 3230? Anyone already installed this?
please help.

M seriously considering to switch my 3230 to 6230i if the camera problem (pictures turning out compressed) are not addressed in future firmware upgrades. I'm happy as it is to own n use it for awhile, but if the pictures are of a lower quality than other models, no point.
6230i, tho of Series 60 and having a smaller screen, contains all the main features; bluetooth, fm stereo radio, stereo mp3 player, etc etc.

Not only this phone but many other 1.3 mega pixel phones as the claim to be take photo's at a max resolution of 1280x960 pixels. That is nothing but 1.23 mega pixel. Only some phones like Nokia 6230i and Samsung D500 takes photos at a resolution of 1280x1024 pixels which is actually 1.3 mega pixel.

The way to count pixels are to use the image size..
it takes at 1280 x 960
= 1228800 pixels
when round off, it becomes 1.23 MP
For 1.3MP.. it should take at 1280 x 1024
= 1310720 pixels
Nokia 6230i can take at this resolution.

1.3 mp is really 1.23, so thats why its different :)

Are u sure that your N3230 don't have a beep sound..and what's wrong with the camera..and that's has a vibrate when the profile switch on Silent..??I'm in HK too, I still confuse to buy N3230

I wonder why on the back of phone it says 1.2 megapixels while in the ad it says 1.3? Anyone can explain? Even in the brochure it says 1.3

and by the way..how come the phone indicate that is only 1.2 mega pixel at the back of the phone??shouldnt it be 1.3 mega pixel??should i change it with a new one cause i still got few days of warranty to change to another new set

Can anyone tell Nokia to release better design pnone? 3230, if it is another brand, no more sales from this design.
It lagged from Asian manufacturer in term of design?
