Some FM stations are still in mono..
so.. even the phone plays in stereo, the stations's output is only mono..
For mp3, the only nokia phones available now that has stereo output is 6680, 7710...
Anyone who wans to know anything... feel free to ask me..

quality is better than 7610 and 6630. go to www.mobile-review.com/forum2 and look the comparison there. someone posted comparison pictures between 3230, 7610 and 6630. of course 3230 won.

the camera response is not slow at all. only when takin at highest quality which is in 1.2mp will den require the camera a few seconds to save it. its the same with megapixels camera everywhere. u need a few seconds to save it when in mp mode.

Is it true that the camera response a lot slower than the 7610 and 6670? How about the picture quality comparing to 7610?

PFM9 when you say 512mb rsmmc card do you refer to dv rsmmc? Doesn't 3230 use dv rsmmc or normal rsmmc can be use?

Yes, I urge you all to read through the postings here before asking the same questions over and over and over again, or cleverly phrase it in another manner.
Please, you're not some kid who doesn't know how to read. The reviews are helpful, the postings here gives you a very very clear and detailed experience by other users. Ask constructive questions, not repeating them cause you're lazy to read the previous pages and hence, hoping someone will answer you. More often than not, we'll go 'again, another dickhead who doesnt know that this exact/similar question has been asked!'

For some people: Read better the review about Nokia 3230 posted here and dont ask the same silly questions...
For the one who ask about battery: Yes, this could be a real problem...
For the others: Put please more reviews about 3230 life battery, with avarage use.

I just want to know a few things, because this will be my next phone.
how long does the battery last with medium usage? if it's 3 days it's mine :)
I am oscillating between this and 6230i but this one is in advantage with the symbian thingy :) and price
6230i is with the stereo and display.
so, I just want to know how's the stand-by time for this piece of jewelry :)

this phone doesn't have volume control buttons on the sides, but you can adjust it from the joystick.
the FM radio is stereo, however the mp3 player is mono.
it sounds terrible, but i can live with it :P
camera quality is fine.
pictures taken look bright & sharp, compared to the other 3 series.
but when i print them, they look a bit grainy.

The Nokia 3230 is a Symbian version 7 not Symbian v8..
All Symbian v7 have Mono MP3[6600,7610,6670,6260]..
All Symbian v8 have stereo MP3[6630,6680,6681]..

says that the phone uses V8.0 of Symbian OS.
Is it true?
I hav copied the first 2 lines of the link:
The next Series 60 smartphone from Nokia to utilise the new version of Symbian OS (v8.0a) is the 3230.

pls let me kno guys...a lot depends on it. I am a music lover , thats Y I am asking all these silly Questions.
oooh n 1 more thing some ppl hav posted in the forum asking us to wait for the firmware upgrade before buyig the phone. Pls let kno if the new firmware is out as I am planning (almost fixed on this phone) to buy this on 1st of May. (just waiting for my pay cheque).

Sorry 2 disappoint guys, but I guess I hav a silly Question?
I saw Real One player on my frenz's 6600 and even 6670 has it, but this ones of a diff series (32x0), so I just wanted to kno if this also got Real One player and also if its got an equalizer and stereo in MP3.
I read the review and it says the FM is mono, but I saw tha advertisement which says FM is stereo. Which one of them is true?
Any clue abt the cam quality pls.

i've read my manual.
let me make it clearer.
i KNOW HOW TO ADD recipients.
what i was saying was how to put contact numbers IN THE BODY OF THE SMS, I WASN'T REFERRING to the 'TO' field.
in the previous models there are options "insert number" & "insert contact" therefore i can put phone number in the body of the sms (NOT in 'TO' field)
but i can't find those options in 3230.
i hope you understand what i meant.
