i guess all new smartphones are bound to have their share of bugs on 1st release, they'll patch them i guess. meanwhile, i'm still waiting for a reply from nokia...

It is very simple! Or u can live with this phone, like it is, or sell it....The phone has other good points..This issues can be solved later, with an firmware upgrade.

I just bought this phone couple weeks ago, and Upgrade the Memory to 512, this phone has a lot of features , But i'm wondering why evertime My phone ringing or any SMS coming in there is a strange voice coming out (sound like an standard error application tone for Nokia) before the ringing tone comes out, I have brought this phone to Nokia and they said it happens to all 3230 , not mention when it come to Profile Silent the vibrate for SMS is not working ( which it works for my other Nokia 7610..!! )Can someone tell me wether they have the same problem..?? and what is the solution..?? while in overall despite many books said is the most complete features phone being made by nokia (only lack of WIFI) I don't think this is the perfect phone..!!!

I'm from singapore here. There is really a problem with the camera . i just read the opinion and i tested it on my phone and took my round shaped alarm clock and it become oval shape . hope somebody will notice nokia about this big problem .

I downloaded the pc suite, but there's sm problem. I cant seem to sync even though there is USB connection. Help!

I have sent an e-mail to the Nokia Customer Care Feedback service..Lets hope they do something with the Camera mis-proportion issue..
I am also having problems with the IR..it doesnt seem stable with the PC Suite, I am havin no problems uploadin files to the mobile, but i am havin serious stability issues usin IR to download images from mobile to PC usin the IR..

for goodness sake dont buy the fone for its camera,,its hard to explain its oddness.am also having trouble with the top heaviness whinch is aching my hands.

the Nokia 3230 is out in Malaysia.
Zitron stock is about RM1650.00
it's not worth buying bekos the RM1800 Nokia 6630 with a processor speed of 220mhz compare with 124mhz on the 3230.
For a mere RM150.00 differences u might as well get double processor power.

So anyone knows how to solve the image inproportional problem?
1) it is cuz the resolution is 1280 x 960 rite?
2) even transfer to com also its not proportional rite?

hi freinds
i bought this phone one month ago and have even upgraded the card to 256 mb
the phone works fine and is best phone for its price why people have habit of wrong comparsion some say camera is not good some say nokia dont know what phone people demand i would like to ask such people if they need good camera they should buy good digam
evene after gap of 1 year still samsung has not come out with blue tooth ecxept d500 and see nokia in all of its hihre models has blue tooth and also no samsung phone is edge complaint and even motorola so tell me do u agree or not what we pay for nokia phones is technology and what nokia gives is true value for money simple in use and good phons for all type of poeple so what u says guys let me have ur opinion

Seems a good phone..Look good and had a lot of features. The best, from what is now on the market, no doubt. But, be patients and let Nokia to release a firware upgrade for this phone.

nokia should do something about image proportion when viewed on the phone as well, i took a snap of my alarm clock and it appeared to be oval (stretched) instead of a perfect circle, kinda gave me a rude shock..a minus point for an otherwise good camera. I hope a firmware update will solve the problem, but anyways, a great phone with solid build.

hey hi all of u .. when i saw its specifications i thought to buy this phone now i rad ur comments and review it jus a middle phone can u please all guide me which cell i buy coz i want symbian phone and brand should b nokia and currently i have N6600 wht should i do wht will b good change for after N6600

I am happy i am gettin some feedback from u guys..Maybe i am wrong..But i want an expalnation for this..
I took a photo of a doll with my 3230 & transfer it to the PC, the doll seemed much broader as copressed vertically than it actually was..then i changed the Camera settings on my mobile from High to Basic..& took another snap..when transferred to the PC this image though not that sharp had better proportions[ in basic sttings the image resolution had changed to 640x480]
Next i use PC Suite & the image editor in it to modify the previously taken higher resolution image..I resize the image after unmarking the maintain proportions tag, which is there & type 1280x1024 & WHAT DO I SEE the image now has changed to the EXACT PROPORTION of the doll & the FINAL RESULT
An image which is sharper & more exact in dimensions..
