you can save .jar files to the applications folder in the memory card. then just install application by going to extras; memory card; install application.

"...I found that you are only able to put 99 mp3s in the Music folder, but I couldn't understand why I had 1GB of space but I could only play 184 of the mp3's I had put on my phone. Go figure... "

What I meant to add is that you can put an additional 85 mp3's in the main folder (the one that comes up when you first connect the data cable). With the 85 in there, and the 99 you max out at in the Music folder, you get 184 playable mp3's. Was anybody else able to get more?
P.S. The version I have is the US version with the full QWERTY keyboard seen here:

Just to add on to what I said before, the mp3 and radio (with good signal) are in stereo. The phone does not take SD, but is able to be upgraded to 2GB MMC. Like I said, you can't put pictures on your phone with the data cable, you must use you GPRS connection to download them. Kodak Mobile is a great program which you can add photos to your album and have friends join your group with their photos and trade away. It costs $2.99 a mo I think, and there is no contract so you can go month by month, or skip a few and start up again. Or you can do that F-bus thing that Jaison said.

I've had the phone since June of 2004, great phone. Downside, you can't put pictures on phone with data cable. It is possible to receive picture messages though, which you can save and store in the gallery. I replaced the 64MB MMC with a 1GB MMC that I bought and it works perfectly. I found that you are only able to put 99 mp3s in the Music folder, but I couldn't understand why I had 1GB of space but I could only play 184 of the mp3's I had put on my phone. Go figure... Another downside, I found that in transferring mp3's, it's better to put one file at a time via the data cable. Trying to move a whole folder or a group of mp3's at one time can cause some of them to become corrupted, or not play at all. Some examples of corrupted mp3's would be, as you're listening to a song, it will abruptly switch to another song, end all of a sudden, or just not play. I am aware that the phone comes with Nokia Audio Manager, but I was too lazy to use it, as I could just drag songs over myself, excluding the middle man. Another problem a later faced (rather recently, 1-2 mo. ago), sometimes when I'm listening to an mp3 (and usually when I'm in an area with bad service), the whole phone will just cut off. The mp3 will stop playing, begin randomly skipping through songs for about 15 sec, and then cut off. I bought this phone with an AT&T contract in June of '04, as I stated. Since then, AT&T has merged with Cingular and I've noticed it does this when switching between Cingular towers, which can be quite annoying. I'm sure I've done something to it, so I don't wanna scare anyone from buying it. Before these problems, it was a great phone with great features, and still is. Since then, I have upgraded to a Nokia 7710, and I can listen to as many mp3's as I want! :-D

i have had this phone since end 2003 and it has been nothing but good, it was a teaser to what the n-gage would be and the interface is good software is good, the mp3 is stereo and i believe better quality than an ipod mini. Has everything a color phone should have except for cam and connectivity extras like bluetooth. I have tones of phone games and they are joy to play on this phone while listening to mp3s. the battery is good as well lasts long. oh yeah u kin record of the radio as well which is cool. Plus the housing is the easiest of any nokia ive seen to remove. good phone all round
