NOKIA NEEDS A BRAIN SERGERY SOON!
This 3310 phone is not the only King of the best phones that Nokia discontinued.
In 2005 Nokia released the best CDMA phone
2115i Shorty for Virgin Mobile (prepaid). It was one of the best selling prepaid phones ever for $50!!! Basic phone just as 3310 ++
PHONE HAD:
-Excellent basic design (more attractive than 3310)
-Flashlight
-The most amazing loud/smoooooth sound quality (FOR CDMA network???!!!!) And even better sound quality than 3310 GSM phone!!!!
-The most amazing speaker phone (so smooooooth/louuuuud!!!!)
-The most amazing polyphonic loud sound I ever heard!!!!!
I would understand if the phone sale was nto high due to competition by color screans and camera bullshit, but this 2115i shorty was just perfect selling!!!!

This was my first phone, and was definitely reliable. I did update my phone last year, and got a Sony Ericsson k750i. I do not regret swapping phones as this has been just as reliable. So to the poster who wanted a good upgrade, get a Sony Ericsson k750i. All the other phones stop working after a while.

Only 2 words to say: Total Classic! Second phone of mine, yeah i remember the times when everyone had one of these (if I recall correctly, this is one of the top-10 selling Mobile-phones from Nokia on it's history of mobile-phones). What made it so good, well A) it was cheap B) it was easy to use(My Grand-mother has one of these in active use, and so had my sister). Spare Ni-Hm and Li-Ion batteries are fairly easily obtainable (not official one's thou...), atleast in finland.

I was bought this phone as my first mobile, over 5years ago when it first came out in UK. It cost 20 quid all ready to go!! Its an excellent phone. I was given another phone last year Nokia 6600, but after a few months gave it back because its a shocker of a phone - heavy, fugly, too many functions and a very uneasy to follow pad and menu. I love my 3310, and I have also dropped it many times and even when it broke into many pieces, I just put it back together again and its still sweet!.
I have been considering getting an IPOD and thought maybe I should update my phone and get an mp3 that way. I have been considering the samsung ZV10 and Motorola V360, anyone got any advise - I`d hate to pay out and then miss my old 3310 clean simplicity and reliability. Perhaps I should just get an IPOD and keep my phone? SUGGESTONS PLS!!

Legendary Phone. I remember that at one time almost everyone had it. It was very simple to use and yet it had everything that someone could ask from a mobile phone back then ( mp3 players, phone cameras, color screens etc were still science fiction ).
Also it had good reception and very strong loudspeaker. The strongest i can think of in fact. When it rang it was very easily heard.

sublime phone
History, legend, call it how you want. Way, way ahead of its time and way, way ahead of our time, when simplicity is the word of order. we claim to seek for simplicity, but we forget good old 3310
bring it back
NOKIA, bring it back, don't kill a myth!!!
bust the market again, re-launch 3310, for our souls!!
3310 for ever
