Hi. I don't believe in the user reviews around the internet as many of them are fake. I just want to ask that is this device perfect for me? Below is my usage/ assumptions:
1. Don't play with phone too much.
2. Don't have any attraction for mobile photography.
3. Games: not too much and not for too long. I love flying simulators. Aerofly 2 and infinite flying simulator ia what i play most. Cause i don't have time to sit continuously.
4. Whatever phone i use, i grant my access to root privelage.
5. Video recording is not something i am crazy about either.
6. I like the looks of Nokia 5. It's durability.
7. I have no issues in waiting 1-2 seconds for an app to launch or few hiccups here and there.
Now, if there are no hardware or software problems, will it be ok for me?

After the software update phone doesn't connect with wifi, very bad performance

I am using Nokia 5 since 1 year because I was a fan of Nokia but now I want to say everyone don't buy Nokia branded mobile because the worst battery backup phone is Nokia compare to even non branded mobile.

Anonymous, 27 May 2018Try ES explorer from play store.I suggest ES File Explorer version 3.2.5.5 as the latest versions are full of malware and ads, 3.2.5.5 is the last clean and safe version.

NEW phone. Now USABLE. No more app/system crash freezes.
NEW problem: CAMERA VIDEO mode tries to focus and videos are UNUSABLE!!!
This new Nokia 5 has a new camera firmware:
v200.0070.10,1.18.0
v020.0100.05
Maybe i will have to return the new unit... damn you nokia... :(

For me buying Nokia 5 was the worst decision I have made this year. The phone lags everyday and almost on everything , Now on Android 8.1 the problem is much worse

HI friends, This Nokia phone i am using from Aug-2017 till to date..
Mobile body build is super, awesome display pixel and sound quality,gaming,browsing and battery backup also very good. but this mobile having small demerits ,
Menu background is always white screen,
camera auto focus very worst
Dual flash tone is always making photos yellowish
Clean master and RAM cleaner option is not available
Calling screen dispaly is not equal to samsung
Gallery is no more, photos menu is not safety
File manager is not worthy.......
Nokia 3,5,6,7+,8,8 sirocco, and 9 every model is same problems...
Please dont buy Nokia models..........

Average phone ,but good for the money.
Decend screen ,battery...last one day(10hrs),little slow at moments...but nothing irritating.
Camera is good for the money,regular updates on android...
Recomend for the money

Not a techno savvy here but have been a Loyal Nokia Lover Since past 15 years.
But disappointed yet again after the purchase of Lumia Edition.
Been using Nokia 5 from September 2017.
The Nokia letter stickers are gone (even tried to hold onto it with a glue), the phone hangs once in two days, and Good Gracious it heats up like a portable heater a something.
Nokia has let me down again.

Im been using this more than 6 month, the device is good and well performed. worthy phone for that price i spend. im not expecting good camera, but you can feel better camera with supporting app.
almost good phone with long battery life
