I tried every... more*** IMPORTANT UPDATE ***
After more than 1 month of TORTURE with a device PLAGUED with LAGs, many app CRASHes, poor performance - a USELESS BRICK - i could NOT believe that all users have this problems and say this is a nice device, so i went back to the store, before i return this one, and BOUGHT a NEW ONE. Yes. I did it.
Updated it to android 8 (mandatory, could not refuse the update) CLONED the old phone (SAME APPs and data) SAME memory card (used only for photos - Sandisk Extreme PRO) and the result is a REAL PHONE that i can now USE!!!
FInally... DAMN you Nokia!
The differences i see is the camera firmware and the INTERNAL MEMORY SPEED (60MB/s against the 40MB/s of the old one).
THIS PHONE JUST WORKS. It's not a super fast machine, but it does not lag that much and IT DOES NOT CRASH at every 15 minutes use... the apps open (btw, one app refused to open in the old one and runs perfectly in this!)
*** Bottom line ***
FOR ALL of you with NOKIA 5 out there, with severe problems, don't waste more of your time: your device is DEFECTIVE. Period.
I'm glad i insisted, because the BUILD quality of this nokia is TOP notch. Shame about the quality control??? Maybe RAM quality???

Best part clean android and decent phone for the price. Biggest problem 16gb memory which will prolly get full pretty soon.

Not sure why everyone is complaining, it's not that bad, I have been using it for 3 months
The pros of this phone are:
*Excellent design (I have the blue one)
*A very good battery life
*Great display

The Cons:
**Camera is average (will try to install the new Camera Pro app from XDA and see)
**Performance is average (I had a serious issue and it was pretty much lagging when I had a Kingston memory card with the apps on it, after I purchased a SandDisk Ultra memory card, the performance was pretty much better especially after I freed 3 GB of the phone's internal storage on the internal phone memory, I guess it needs some good space for it's temporary performance files)
**Games: I haven't seen a game that it couldn't run yet, I play Shadow Fight 2&3, Assassin's Creed, The Wolf and no lagging so far
**I wish the RAM was 3 GB instead of 2, this would have been way better
So far, I am satisfied with what I have for what I paid

Accurate review about Nokia 5.
Pros: the good looks, satisfactory display quality, good battery backup
Cons:
The phone is very poor in performance. Very poor in RAM management. It crashes frequently while playing games. Very poor camera. The competitor companies like Mi, Redmi, OnePlus offers you a better camera and of course a better performance. The service of Nokia is the worst.
Overall I was very much disappointed with this phone. I bought this brick just because of the brand name. But the old Nokia is dead now. Never recommend this stupid phone to anyone. Not even to your ex gf.

Awful. Avoid at all costs. Better to have no phone than one that will wreck your SD card making it unable to be read by anything (including itself) and will fail to update correctly (a problem I have seen no solution for despite not being the only one to have) scrapping all of your data in the process. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Worst phone ever. Expected better user experience at this price. You could use that money on some other thing because this phone sucks. very slow. Camera sucks. System freezes. Useless phone :D

NOKIA 5 has serious RAM management issues.
I tried everything... finally a FACTORY RESET.
Same problems!
With only Google Earth running, the system becomes NON RESPONSIVE after a few minutes of use... UI CRASHES and a reboot is mandatory
I've had enough. Going to return this "brick" on monday.

Formatted as INTERNAL, so i can move apps to the card. Then again, 90% of the apps cannot be moved... no problem... i learn with my mistakes!
Now... more extensive testing...
in the last day i crashed almost all the most used apps:
Facebook, Messenger, Google Earth crashes the app, the SYSTEM UI and the phone becomes a brick! :D
Amazing! This is a really BAD piece of hardware.
