I've been using this phone for 3 months now performance is okay. Definitely needs more improvement in terms of stability and smoothness. Still functional despite the problems. Good value for money

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2012can anyone help me,i have a problem with nokia 500!it does ... morejust found this out too.. the nokia 500 does not have a dedicated gpu. that means it doesnt support all the cool hd games.. was planning to buy this phone too with hd gaming in mind.. thank God i researched it well

sanyam, 05 Jan 2012No.it will not upgrade to symbian belle.The nokia 500 is actually upgradable to symbian belle, nokia conversations answered it directly.

To turn off WI-FI go to setting and change the timer for network scanner,make instead 5 sec.-some thing like 30 sec.Try to find the maximum,then you can use WI-FI only when you need it manually.

Have this mobile for 2 months,like it,battery back up is verrry good,turn off themes,wi fi-off and uala charge every 2-4 days,coll quality is perfect,even with Mobilicity Canada,maps are good,google maps for mobile are good,touch speed is good,do not have games, do not need it,camera, during day light is super,gps,radio- yes,internet not for heavy usage,but in case you need it- works,SO my conclusion-NEED good phone,not pc,go for it.Do not expect to get phone for 170$ with the same futures like phone for 500$,or i phone,for me-madness to buy phone more expensive then PC,or tablet.But to spend 50-60$ extra for smartphone, not dumb one, is excellent.Cheers.

I hate nokia 500. Cannot run Spb 3d shell . In nokia c5 03 run but in nokia 500 not run. I hate with this phone ( nokia 500). Sorry my english bad

no phone person, 03 Jan 2012Do not touch this phone i have nothing but bother with it ... moreI currently have a small claim at the courts to get my money back for this lousy "phone" - Will never buy a Nokia product again. Anyone on here stating that this phone is even remotely good - either does not actually own one or simply works for Nokia or affiliates. It is utter rubbish and WILL hang / reset on you with a battery life of no more than 6 hours on a full charge with no use.
