Its awesome that we are getting symbian anna/belle compatible phone at just Rs 10000. 500 has very good display,comparing with samsung mobiles in this range, camera is ofcourse fullfilling every expectations, after updating its restarting problem is solved. Compatible with all symbian 3, s60v5, symbian anna applications except hd games which is a drawback cz no 3d graphic acclerator. file management is very nice compared to android. voice recognition is good . multitasking better than android. thus in short rocks cz of symbian anna os. and average in hardware. good looking though.

But my only advice to U would be that U buy it from original nokia dealers, priority, gallery whatever u want to call it and look for the details whether it is 'made in korea' or 'made in china'..... Made in korea is the topest priority I would recommend U... One of My friends has a made in china phone which must have restarted and hanged about 50 times a day she bought the phone...... while using the camera or apps....

I just bought this phone a week ago and at first there was no problem until the day when I download some applications and games from Ovi Store. When I download about 5 until 8 applications, it hangs at times. So I decided to update the software to 11.033. After the update, it doesn't hang anymore. But sometimes, it shows that my memory is full even though it wasn't. This happen when I open the camera or download from Ovi Store.
One thing for sure, this phone is actually great if it doesn't hang or even restarts by itself. I didn't regret buying this phone and I love this phone.
By the way, I have already asked Nokia in Twitter and Nokia said that Symbian Belle update will out in February 2012 for Nokia 500. Make sure you all update it because I heard that Symbian Belle will fix our problems in this phone. :)

this phone is not at all good...inspite of handling with care it hangs twice or thrice in a day...nokia are loosing their way..friends plzze dont buy this crap.overall nokia s not good and this one is the justification
