Hi I bought Nokia 500 on 1st Nov 2011. I am new to touch screen phones.
I need to explore further on wifi, internet, music, etc.
I found hanging couple of times.
Didn't face the restart problem as mentioned in the previous posts.

good phone with nice processor speed. 1ghz for less than 10000 rupees is real value for money. Camera is decent and the touch sensitivity is very good. Interface is simple and good. It comes with an internal; memory of 2gb which is great in this segment. Although symbian still is behind droid, its pretty decent as most of famous droid apps are now available in smybian anna and belle. Latest nokia store is very good compared to its earlier versions. So if u want a good phone for four digit price, go get a nokia 500 and start experiencing the mazaa!!

hangs twice a day,,wid four to five times turn off,,,over to it,,,after update , hangs more than four times a day,,with unlimited times turn off,,,wifi not working,,,,,,,,,,,,now what i hav to do wid this phone????

I have purchased this phone last week.This phone has restart problem. I have updated the software but it is not completely fixed.
Rest everything is very good (Camera Quality , Battery Backup , Fast Processing).
Best phone in 10k range if restart problem is resolved.

The restarting problem seems to be semi fixed in the latest software update, the problem is that it's still there. How can we forward our problem to Nokia? We should demand for them to fix this problem cause everyone here is experiencing this.
Moreover the internet is very laggy, 1ghz really? I still love this phone. Nokia please fix the problems!

Awesome phone but its 2mch expensive in the same price we can purchase Android phone + 2 millions of Apps if nokia 500 price would 7.5k to 8 k dan it wil be hit bt i wl go with LG optimus One against nokia 500

hmmm ya.. i too face hang off problem.. but rarely.. it depends on how we use.. how much we use.. i dont nokia 500 s a bad choice! its 5 mp cam is just amazing. gprs too s good. still dint check out 3g on it. i m satisfied with my nokia 500 :) price 9600/- @ nokia dealer.

Great phone. But can you have the phone on vibrate mode when it's on silent, so when you receive a phone call or message it vibrates, but not rings?

music player is not playing the songs from external card it is playing the songs from in built memory, when the song from external memory comes it ll skip n goes on till the song from in built memory comes....how can i fix it?????
