Symbian belle/refresh/fp1/fp2 interface and every thing is much m0re better then ANdroid ICS . lets talK ABOUt n0kia 500. It d0sent have gpu. Every buyers of this ph0ne kn0ws that . If you are gamer then d0nt go for it . But the other things are ok . The 5 mp is clear then other brand android phones. Its camera is clear then galaxY S2 . u cAN C0MPARE IT HERE . Procesor , net speEd rokzZ .

The phone's pretty decent once updated to Belle. The few drawbacks that I found were:
- Camera quality sucks - far more than you can imagine.
- Small RAM - gets slow and cannot afford a number of applications.
- No GPU - cannot play a number of really cool games available otherwise (linked to the small RAM as well).
Otherwise, the phone's good enough. The display's awesome - though I have seen better touch capabilities in other phones that may fall in the same category. And the sound lives up to one's expectations.

there is handful of appz and games for nokia 500 in ovi store..if u want a third party or unsigned appz then u must hacked it..

after belle refresh my n500 lo0k great and awes0me ..internet speed is c0ol...d0nt believe what they say they d0nt even saw or touch this handset..

I've had it for 1 month. What can I say? It's terrible.
It came without GPU. Why Nokia did that? Now every second app cannot be lauched, because of the lack of GPU. 5MP camera they said? Looks like VGA to me. Quality is terrible, images are bloomed, and washed out. Can't fix that even in its settings. Only thing I like in this phone is its processor speed, that I can relay. It can handle apps, ok. Battery sucks. Lasts for 1 day. Maybe half-day. Buh.
So here you go. If you want apps, dont fu***** buy this phone, and do not complain about the lack of GPU. Get a little more cash and buy ANDROID. Its better. Believe me. DAMN THIS PIECE OF SH**!

also the games you download from OVI store all need internet connection
