AnonD-56452, 26 Jul 2012Hanging is a Common Problem of Smartphones.I was having the same issue but it got solved after upgrading the O.S to Symbian Belle. Now it is working very smoothly. And it has never got hang even after opening multiple applications.

To all those lamenting a bad purchase or feel u r cheated by the manufacturer, no company mentions what they dont provide in a product. Consider a small car with just basic features from a company. Will the company say it has so-and-so features but doesn't have power steering, auto gear-shift, 4x4 wheels,ABS etc.? NO! U look for what u need & if it's not in the car, u look for some other model. U might wanna say, gpu in a smartphone (meaning HD games & HD videos) is the order of the world, then so is the auto gear-shift in a car in the west, but don't we still drive manual gear-shift cars in India? There are many smartphones which don't have a gpu, and nokia 500 being an entry level phone,doesn't have one, and works remarkably well for what it's advertised. If u want HD videos & HD games, go for nokia 603, 701, or the lumias.

But if it's often, Rax, u should get it serviced at a nokia service center nearby. BTW, did u upgrade ur fone to Nokia Belle. Press *#0000# and check "Release". If it's not Belle, get it upgraded to minimise the hanging problem. Belle has many performance improvements over Nokia Anna.

People who buy smartphones these days read specs before buying, either on the box or on sites like gsmarena & its clear to all that there's no gpu, which implies no hd games and no hd videos.it's got Excellent camera for still shots in daylight and at night where there's external light source...way better than other competing brands. Video recording vga@15fps is also on specs. Superb sound (for once read the gsmarena review; it even has tests on it with measurements), very good build unlike other brands which start creaking within a month. I bought a white n500 phone and it fell a couple of times. I thought that the white color will go & expose a silver/black surface underneath. But it's actually solid white and the marks are barely visible. It's unfortunate that u wasted ur hard-earned money on this phone without reading the specs or a review. I said Wasted coz ur expectations r obviously higher and u can afford a 603 or a Live with walkman. Guess this experience made u wiser. ;). Just don't blame the company. They didn't hide anything from you. Even if they did, it's always exposed on sites like gsmarena.

hi people i swear this phone sucks,it is very bad its the latest version 067,and even lags in browser and menu..This phone doesnt have a gpu,no hd games,no hd 720p hd recording,too much lags..Bad camera(15 fps video recording),bad sound,cheap hardware(even screen is plastic not glass)..please listen me and dont buy this cheap junk..i know everything about cellphones and just telling the truth to y'all,,,i suggest you to buy nokia 603,sony ericsson phones live with walkman etc..i think people should know these things we are in 2012 now :S
