You do need the torx #5 screwdriver that you can get at any hardware store. Follow the instructions & you can easily remove the sim. Before you put the phone together I would put the SIM in & make sure it is in right. I screwed it too when I put it the last time. Total repair time - 5 minutes.

If you take the battery cover off, there's a little silver slider thing where the sim card goes. If you pull that out slightly, then the sim card should come out with it.

James, this might be a low-end phone, but you know what, maybe you work in an office with airconditioning and you have an assistant which does everything for you, so a high-end phone is usefull, but you know what, to us, who work in the field, or in factories, this phone is ideal, its lightweight, easy to use and very thin. So don't discriminate Nokia on their productions, there are many more phones on the market you can buy to keep you happy

By principle, I'm impartial in phone reviews, and I don't like to say bad things about a phone (low-end or high-end), but in this case I just can ask: what the hell Nokia was thinking??
1 - This is a low-end phone, with looks of mid-range.
2 - MP3 Player and a 1.3MP camera in a phone without memory card slot?
3 - The phone often hangs, I've made so many DOA's (anyone who works in a mobile phone shop know what I'm talking about) of this phone, that I can't count them anymore.
I hate this phone, and I bet this one is one of the worst phones Nokia ever made.
