This is really a stupid feature. They should have just kept it like S40 3rd edition phones, which updates libraries only when commanded.
Yes everything else except media player is faster... But at a huge cost...

Cause when a phone powers on, no processes are going on in the background, at least not the media update feature. Media library update starts after a few seconds of power on. Although i won't put too much weight on my comment here cause i haven't done a throughout research on this. Still it is very impractical. By the way, the latest 7.xx update of this phone has made it faster. Not the media player, but everything else like browsing through the phone, camera...etc.

Stuff-in 1000 songs @ 128 kbps into your 4Gb card and 1000 songs @ 256 kbps into your 8Gb card(considering each song has a duration of just less than 4 mins)... you will notice that it would take the same amount of time for your phone to fully become functional using both 4 Gb and and 8 Gb cards...
With the latest firmwares it doesn't go crazy on power-on when you have large amount of media files...

Just go for a 4GB memory card and that will do the job.

Previously your phone would have been using an older firmware and hence full pic was available.. But on updated phones the contact pic appears as small. Its one the stupid changes Nokia has made on newer firmwares.

But one thin... moreWell, 2730 is basically the same as 5130 except that the former has 3g and the latter has an advanced audio decoding chip for better sound output. And as for the link to mp3tools, i will give it through my gmail account or if possible then i will upload it. Remember, providing links here is not allowed. And sorry about orkut, cause i just don't use it. You can contact me through my gmail account anytime.
Ttpod don't always detect the album arts in the songs but it downloads it through the net, just like lyrics. Although it only applies for english songs. But you will need net in your mobile. If you wanna know more then contact me in gmail.
