the 5130 sucks ijust got it because my 5220 got stolen by the stupid gardenboy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i wish i had it back.but the 5130 looks kinda cool an dthe sounds good but i miss my funky shaped 5220.I MISS IT ALOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cam quality is same on both phones...both use same camera unit and same technology(NIPS).
Audio/music quality is definitely better in 5130. You can read the review if you please or test a real phone yourself using good headphones like creative EP-630 or Philips SHH9700.
5130 music quality is equal to ipod touch 2G and iphone 3GS...Its even better than 5800XM iphone 3G and ipods, 5220 is not in the same league.
Yes...keypad is better in 5220. 5130's keys are a bit hard to press, it does get very soft over time.
And the back is prone to scratches but it looks a lot better than 5220s back cover.

my nokia 5220 has a problem in displaying message. once i recieved a quote from my friends it usually have spaces in between but in my phone it has no SPACES! for example:

& that's even better than perfect.

Anonymous, 04 Aug 2009Um, just because the reviewers like the 5130's backcover do... moreprototype didnt have stereo speakers on the trim...the speaker was located in the back...it had led lights on left trim just like production model...only site to review the prototype properly is mobile-reviews.com.
and the back cover is not made of dots(only the speaker portion has dots)...the dots you are talking about in engraved in the inner layer of back cover whc is covered by a smooth transparent layer(its a dual layer material).

hi, which is better for music? nokia 5130express, w395, w350 or 5220 express music in terms of loudness, clarity with good bass in headphones and speakers, both.
And which one is better for internet browsing grps 10 and edge 10 class(236.8 kbps) with 3g hsdpa (3.6 mbps)or 2g gprs 32 and edge 32 with hscsd? does it has to do anything with 3g network for better and fast internet browsing on pc becz my network doesnt support 3g services, so pls tell me which wud be better for me even with 3g or without 3g for net on pc.

5130's battery life sucks compared to 5220, which is crazy because both use BL-5C battery.

i use 5220 and my brother use 5130. i think 5220 is better on design. but when i compare both phone on music quality and use same headphone creative EP630 i think 5130 much better than my 5220. and i think the loudspeaker of 5130 is better than my 5220.

AFAIK, the production 5130 is different from the prototype 5130.
The prototype 5130 had stereo speakers located where the silver trim of the production 5130's are and it had a smooth backcover no "dots", maybe thats the model the reviewers evaluated.

not as horrible as 5220 back cover...actually many ppl as impressed with 5130s back cover. All review sites hails its design and built quality...Simply because you dont like it doesn't make it worse.
Now im not a 5130 fan..im a proud 5220 user.

Jake, 28 Jul 2009Alright I just got the phone nokia 5220 and my bro got 5130... more5130 and 5220 have same hardware and all themes and games that work in 5220 will work with 5130. Now 6300 is inferior to 5220 and 5130 as it uses an outdated software.
Flash animations are better and smoother in 5130 than 5220.

My little lass has had two of these in four months. When they work they are an okay phone but they are made from cheap materials and really do Nokia no justice. Finally made a switch with her provider to a 3120 classic, here's hoping.

Lots of 5130 fanboys here lol.
Your 5130 aint better than 5220, i tested my cousins 5130 against my 5220 and i can honesty say that 5220 is better.
Here's my conclusion:
5220 has a better: design, keypad, battery life, camera, themes, music player, included apps and games, response time in ui and java apps, reception.
5220 and 5130 has comparable: loudspeaker, sound quality in headphones, screen
5130 looks cheap, the silver trim on the sides and the "dotted" back cover looks horrible!
5130 owners your phone aint that good!
