Anonymous, 15 Aug 2009UPDATE UR FIRMWARE 6.51 is most stable no hanging prob.As I said about a month ago: 6.51 was removed from NSU (nokia software update). It is buggy and was temporarily replaced with the old version 5.63. I'm hoping for a new version soon, but nokia support wouldn't say when.

5130 do not have active standby...but flight mode is there...it came with no flght mode at first but flight mode was added with firmware update and newer phns come with flight mode...the came quality is same for both 5220 and 5130...
But what sets 5130 apart is its awesome sound quality and cheap price...

If you really like the Nokia's Active standby feature, Then you definitely go for 5220 XM otherwise go for 5130. This model don't have active standby & flight mode feature.The camera is also too basic. So I strongly suggest you all to go for 5220 Xpress Music

well if u people realy understand wat a cell phone is n how it works, so its good for u, but in case u don't understand wats happening inside it then don't buy it, like
a friend of mine here in posts said dat some files don't work so my dear frnd those files which r not completly downloaded in this cell can't b used
2nd about hanging or slow phone so i noticed this problm on the 1st day when i bought this phone n when i ws downloading some files into it, n suddenly my cell got hanged n i had to restart it 3 to 5 times then later i understand wat the problm is i moved all my files into the mmc( specialy from the folder recieved files) n after dat my phone is just gr8, working very well
the only problm i think it has so its taking too much time in charge :(

Are you an audiophile? then why are you using a Philips/Ep-630 headphone shouldnt you be using something like Shure or Sennheiser?
They have the same sound quality man, dont use equalizers and the stereo widenning. Just you the flat equlizers. Same sound quality.
And regarding the music player theme, dont misled others man, you cant change the music player and radio theme in 5220 and 5130 unless you hack it using oxycube. if a user dosent know how to use it properly their phones will be bricked.
And regarding the flashlite player, how many good flash lite applications are there anyway? probably less than 10. Compare that to Java apps which is the defacto applications in S40 phones. 5220 in faster in java apps.
Your such a 5130 fanboy lol, post on the 5130 boards pls. Dont make it as if the 5130 is that much better because it's not, man. Both phones are almost the same but 5220 is just a notch better right now.
Wait for a 5130 firmware update then maybe it will surpass the 5220 then.

yes 5220 skins do show album arts better...but, do you know that you can change music player skins...im not talking abt changing to skins already given in the phone...
I have installed 5220 red, 5220 blue, 6600 slide, 3600 slide and 7210SN's music player skin on my 5130. you can do the same on 5220 too...So the small album art thing is not applicable for me as i use different skins than the default ones.
(you need to install a software on pc for you to access hidden themes and player skins folders of your phone)

this is an idi0tic comment...themes can be changed at will...all XpressMusic skins are available for download from net.

Its not faster...they are pretty much same. Flash is faster and smoother in 5130. Also UI speed depends a lot on what theme you are using.

Guys if you don't have both 5130 and 5220 and just compare the other with reviews and other people's opinion, then you better just shut up because, what gives you the right to comment if you just rely on reviews on the internet and don't have the phone personally to make a unbiased comparison?

5220 iz not at all preferable..it has lots of technical problems..itz batt needs 2.5hrs of charging and itz hardly last 4 a day..better go 4 another 1 den dis..

i miss my 5220, 08 Aug 2009the 5130 sucks ijust got it because my 5220 got stolen by t... moreok...now that is a very confusing post...hehe
you say 5130 sucks...and then you say it looks cool and has better music sound...
then how does it suck?? all other features are pretty much same. If you are simply missing 5220 then understandable.
I had 6300 before...got stolen and then bought 5130.
though 6300 is no match for 5130 in anything other than screen...i miss it a lot...it was the best looking phn nokia has made.
