Its due to your sim message memory is full. It will not solve by deleting sim contacts you have to delete messages from your sim directory...goto messaging > option > pg messages and delete the messages it will be better to delete all..enjoy ;)

SwitchingToN8, 15 Apr 2011I would've recommended this phone a year ago but now,I woul... moreMy phone gets wicked-hot but only when I use it as a modem with my laptop or do some heavy surfing on the internet (so lots of 3G). You may have some applications running in the background like some push-email software (I use Emoze and it exhausts the battery in under one day, not to mention the heat). Press and hold the menu button and close any applications you don't need. Also check if the built-in push email service is active. If this is not the case, you might have a deffective handset on your hands.
Also, if you don't use (or have) 3G, why not close it altogheter? Go to settings, connectivity, network and turn off dual mode.

Lizelle, 16 Apr 2011How do i set the volume louder, because it's set on full vo... moreThere are only a few ways to get more punch out the 5230's volume. the first way is to buy and use a pair of cans (large headphones, 50mm drivers will pretty much do the trick). Plan b requires the aquisition of stereo bluetooth device. something like the Nokia BH-214 or Sony Ericsson MW600 should work just fine. Of course, the best way to go (the solution i made myself) is to get both the cans and the bluetooth adapter.

Seriously, the only thing I like about this phone is that it's got good texting and audio recording.
But after a while, this phone really disappointed me.
The camera and video quality is thumbs down bad, with that, my photos and videos don't even go into my memorycard when I checked 50 times that it does. Nothing appears on my gallery it all just goes to file manager. Adding to that, the output audio is crap, playing music out loud has a fuzzy, cheap effect. I can't get the flash going properly, I can't make the wallpaper go all away across the screen. I can't watch videos that I've added to my phone which still goes to file manager.
It's a WASTE OF MONEY.

Had this phone for a day,message icon flashing all time saying sim memory full, did not do this in old phone. I have deleted some contracts of sim card.Help.

brought Nokia 5230 recently. Initially thought its for no use, now i
feel it has every thing which high end mobiles having. very good
picture quality, nice customization, except sound and camera its good
mobile to start up touch : )

How do i set the volume louder, because it's set on full volume when listening to music but it's so soft???? THE SOUND SUCK ON THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!
