in almost all other aspects however, the 5230 excels over Corby: Symbian 60 platform which ensures lots of applications can be installed/added, higher resolution among them.

Hi guys. Saw your comments, and praises to your persuasive prowess! Hahaha. I'm planning to enrol in Smart's Plan 800 with the Corby Wi-fi phone for free, but when I saw this thread ya'll made me think twice.
I initially picked Corby Wifi because of its slim exterior. I'm a college student on commute and I guess texting in public with an eye-catcher would attract bad attention. I've already been snatched once and I'm still traumatized by the experience.
If I opt for 5230, I'd add 1,500 to the plan upon enrolment, and that's it. If I push thru with Corby, the phone is free.
My question is, is 5230 worth it? Both phones have wi-fi. I know from experience that Nokia cameras are better than Samsung's (I'm using a Samsung slide-up phone as of now). But I'm leading a busy life here, and I'm also curious about Nokia's battery life. My present phone can function for 4 days, how about the 5230?
Persuasion, please. :)I'm planning to enrol at Samrt this week. :))

the headset quality is very poor...so can any one tell me is there any optional headset in good sound effect..

try using the Rs. 60/- chinese headsets available at street vendors. amazing sound.

if your network do not provide 3G service, there's no way the phone can use it. Instead it will make use of what's available, like Edge or simple GSM.
