i was browsing other reviews in regards to 523... moreout-of-the-box, no it doesn't have document viewer preinstalled. however, you can install it yourself as I have done including adobe reader plus other applications you will enjoy.
That's the good thing about symbian phones, lots of applications are available.

cristine, 07 Sep 2010please help me guyz.. i don't know what unit im going to bu... moreif wifi is a big deal for you, this phone is not for you.
But 5230 excels than that samsung almost in all other departments.

samsung star 25230 wifi has a document viewer while nokia 5230 hasn't. but nokia 5230 is a 3g phone..i really can't decide which is best..

Hey guys,
i bought this phone its amaaazing but i have a problem with it
the prob is :Contacts :i can`t make groups without copying the numbers on the phone and if the is 2 copies from the num 1 on phone and 1 on sim , the name of this num won`t appear on screen when he`s calling me
how to solve this prob plzzzzz help
i want to make groups ( it doesn`t matter if it makes copy on the phone but i want the name apear on the screen when the num is calling )

parag, 06 Sep 2010i wanted to know....is this GPS can be used without using GPRS??you may use GPS without gprs but first you should download ur local maps from nokia and here a tip for you.. it comes a software "nokia ovi suite" which you can download and install for free from nokia site www.nokia.com download and install it in ur pc.it really has a cool user interface that you wont be puzzled from the map manu select ur country and download maps and install into phone and cheers!!!.. and its one of the great advantage of nokia and nokia ovi maps that luckily you can use it withouttt any data cost(GPRS).

all in one perfect phone im using rit now and it works the way i want except one little problem from maps side that maps not avilable for pakistan so sad. but no problem you may use google maps which works perfectly with all basic feature. from music side i love this phone coz it rocks with a lots of bass intigreation in builtin music player with A4tech metalic earphone or sony/creative earphone dont expect good sound from its own headphone provided in retail pack.its builtin loudspeaker it so not gud.as price measures. but verrrrry gud phone as its cheap price and nice smart phone in nokia for anyone.

This phone is crap/next to nothing! but...
The main things i don't like about this phone are: 1)The display... u can't use it out side during sun light, seriously! and the touch display it's not so good.(iphone naild that part)
2)The battery(which is really big 'Li-Ion 1320 mAh') lasts 3-4days,3-4cals per day :]
3)It realy is a slow phone... i mean.. wtf!
4)And last but not least the menu which i personally don't like and never did like! luckly u cand arenge the icons.
BUT>>>>>>>> overall i like it! i love the way it looks cheep and chunky, good music quality + i got it az a gift and.. i found out they got a good deal for it around 40$:D so... it's ok in that price, seriously lovely phone! it is a tuch screen and smartphone afterall xD
