Is the nokia 5230 faster than the samsung s8300, and im looking for a phone with good performance and great features! Ive heard that the samsung has more features. But im impressed with the nokia 5230s display. Is the samsung s8300 display any good compared to the nokia 5230? Im realy considering on taking the samsung, but im too unsure about performance.

Jean, 01 Sep 2010lol, yeah I know the samsung s8300 costs a hell of lot more... moreI would recommend you to continue with the Nokia 5230 over the Samsung,just because its a 'Smartphone' while the latter is just a 'feature phone' :-)

lol, yeah I know the samsung s8300 costs a hell of lot more, but my friend wants to swap his samsung s8300 with my nokia 5230. Should I take the Samsung? or should I keep the nokia? His samsung is still in great condition!

this phone is a total disappointment! im selling mine after 2 months of use, the reason: poor imaging camera with pink tint even the videos has pink tint, bad mono sound qulity and cheap plastic casing.

Hi guys... this is a post that I'v posted on 5233 forum on how to improve the audio output through the builtin speaker. Just pasting it here for you guys as it should work equally as well to 5230.
I just did a slight mod with my back panel to improve the audio output as well as the quality. There is a significant difference in audio when the back panel is remover. We all already know that but my point is that the narrow slit and the protective metal mesh is what I think is the culprit in muffling the sound. So what I did was with a slightly sharp needle, I removed the wire mesh protective cover over the slit. Since I'm much careful with how I handle my phone, I'm not much worried about any dust entering the speaker outlet due to the lack of the protective mesh. But what I got in return is a surprisingly louder phone with a bit more clarity and openness to the sound output. And the best thing is that there is no visible difference in the phone as no one will notice the missing protective mesh.
And if you have a hacked phone, you can use ROM patcher app to activate the Bass enhancement patch. This gives you Mega Bass like bass response at the same time maintaining the overall audio clarity.
Now I think I'm getting the most out of my phone with regard to audio quality.

[deleted post]i don't know why you are comparing these two models. there is no match between them of course you should go for 8300ultra touch. i've read in its review that its the best video recording phone to date. its still camera is also excellent and its video player is also nice. for more details about 5230 read its review here

I bot this phone after much consideration and i have it for a week now. Its a great phone that packs many features i didnt xpect for so less price. 9/10!

Could anyone please tell me,whats the life span of a touchscreen cell phone? Does it get damaged quickly? I would love to use this phone for a minimum of 3 years! Please answer me :)
