Amruth_ jackie.., 29 May 2010Can anyone pls tell me f video calling s possible by any ch... moreVideo calling is not there in 5230 as it doesnt have secondary camera. However it is there no other phone you mentioned that is N73 but its not gonna be smooth as N73 is a basic 3G phone with maximum speed upto 400kbps or something which is hardly a sufficient for video calling.

For the same price, we can buy Sony ericsson's Yari, Samsung's beat DJ. What would be the best choice? need to choose a one.

has anyone managed to run opera mini on this thing? I have the vodafone locked version and i keep getting an error about maximum number of connections when i try to use opera mini. Opera mobile runs just fine, it's just that it's a little hungry on ram and sometimes locks down the phone due to lack of memory. Also if anyone knows a better browser for this phone besides opera mini, mobile skyfire or the built-in one, i'd love to hear about them...out of the bunch opera is the most capable. The rest are total crap...

[deleted post]go for 5235, its practically same as 5230 but with double NAND flash so significatly powerfull with more handling capacity of files. it also comes with better headset in box which is same as provided with N97. that headset cost around 900 rs if you want to purchase separatly. it has 4x camera zoom but 5230 has 3x zoom. 5235 is having metal chrome frame body to give rich look vs plastic body in 5230. you can download unlimited free music from popular ovi music store service for a one year using 5235's comes with music subscription. so 5235 is basically a improved 5230 with all these additions and price still differ by just around 1200 rs. so you can consider 5235 if its within your budget.

Note It come with 10 Days Premium service option like driving navigations etc. and voice guided navigation.

1 year premium service cost is around 700Rs and need to be purchase if u need driving navigation option etc."

Have read this info in Nokia 5235 page of GSM arena. Is it correct that voice navigation is free for only 10 days & we have to pay 700rs per year in order to enjoy the same....?....

I am placed at rural area and here some shop do sell Nokia products but they are not official sellers of company thats why I purchased it from official seller in city nearby. Here almost 60% population is located in rural belt but international companies do only provide official sales and support in urban areas. We have to travel lot to get even minor problems rectified in fact we are used to with it by now. Wont blame Nokia though; whatever support they provide though is decent.

That offsets whatever little increase in price of handsets there. @anonymous, 200km is very far. Here part of the policy is that we can bring the unit to the store where we bought the unit and it will be the store to bring it to nokia care.

I hope they solve the issue or replace the device without taking too much time. I have purchased the device from one of the Nokia priority centre in pune, india itself so I don't think there would be any problem to claim it under warrenty as I have receipt of purchase. Thanks you guys for consulting me on the issue by the way.

Then it would be pathetic. Mine is exactly 15 days old and I didn't even realized the issue in 3 days of purchase. Later when I found out the issue, I tried to solve it on preliminary basics like hard reset and reinstalling firmware by using software updater programme because care centre is about 200km from my house. It was adviced by some guys on official Nokia discussion forums but that didnt help.
