I mean i paid 7,300 pesos for the nokia 5230. and 250 pesos additional for the screen guard . love texting on this phone. feels great actually. i love touch screen experience here when texting. i love texting by touch screen more than by keypad in my old phone.

i have already purchased 5230 yesterday. it had complete accessories with it. stylus on the back cove ( no extra back cover though), the lanyard, usb cable, 2 GB memory card, earphone, charger, manual, phone for 5300 pesos only, but i paid 250 pesos for the screen guard. but it is okay cause there is no CDR king in Robinson's manila so i just paid for screen guard also for the store to put a screen guard on it. i bought at 5th avenue at the 3rd floor of Robinsons manila.
i was playing around with it last night. i noticed when i used the Earphone for the Radio. i can't hear anything at all. i need to press the square button where the clip was attached at its back. it will give short clear sound then it will not have any sound at all again after 1 second. so i don't know what is wrong. if is it the earphone or something else.
i noticed when i tried to use speaker phone i can hear radio but it is not that loud but it is quite clear already. and i have to bring the phone closer to my ear so i can hear it more loudly.
but when i played the game DJ Mix i think, the sound was loud. so it is not the problem with the speaker but when playing the game ROLERCOASTER the sound was low.
anyways, i have tried the camera. it is quite grainy in low light condition. but still not bad. and the video is pretty okay in low light condition. i still have to try it outdoors or anywhere with enough light to appreciate the video and camera.
and i have not tried using the internet as i have yet to activate my 3g connection on my phone from my local mobile service provider which is Smart Communications.
the touch screen is quite okay. sometimes it is not that responsive. but pretty okay . i like texting here also. it is not bad. i thought it will be hard to text on this phone with touch screen. but i feel i can also text fast or even faster than my old phone with keypad. the screen is responsive enough when i am texting.
anyways, the reason i bought the phone was so that i can add movies, songs, and camera and video recording.
How do i use OVI. do i need to type in a code when i go to OVI. cause i don't receive any code in my box.
how do i add movies to my phone. can we download the youtube videos that we watch and play through our phone.
i like to put more songs and every things else to appreciate it. hope for some help . thanks.

Well it's not the problem with youtube neither is you phone's problem. By default, youtube.com automatically redirects you to the youtube mobile site. This is specially made for non smart phones and phones without a builtin flash player. So the videos are automatically reconverted to streaming low quality video formats so that the built in mediaplayer can stream the video content. The problem with streaming is that the content is downloaded and played at the same time resulting in poor video playback and discontinuous playback. What can be done is beneath the mobile site page there is a link to go to the youtube website. You have to click that to enter the full site. Once here, you can playback flash videos just like in a desktop browser and the videos are of better quality. Also, you can pause the video and wait till it loads to enjoy smooth playback without any interruptions.
You do not necessarily need an antivirus as symbian viruses are very rare and it is better to live with the threat of virus attack which is obviously very uncommon than to carry around an antivirus that would consume precious phone resources.
Yes it does play wmv files but you have to configure your video settings accordingly to be compatable with the phone's video player. I'd recommend mp4 format for it great compression and smooth playback on the device.
I think that application is named all in ne or something like that. Or else you can download file explorer apps to hack into the phone's file system and disable the camera sounds. But mind you it's a bit tricky and risky and should only be performed if you have the proper technical know how. Just search m o b i l e 9 . c o m
Adobe flashlite comes preinstalled in your device so you do not need to install that separately. However you can download the latest beta versions and install them. They are available from the net free of cost.
If you were actually referring adobe pdf reader, then you need to pay for it as it is a premium application.

5230 mono sound quality is a lil bit disapointing......my n82's crystal clear sound is much better, but the rest are good.

It does not have 3G or 3.5G like the 5230. Antivirus is recommended if you connect a lot with other phones. There is an app that disables the shutter sound of the camera. I got it at symbianize.com

1 - i m able 2 watch youtube videos but video quality is disgusting even i m not able to understand anything in youtube videos while when i download videos from some other sites it was great experience to watch these videos , can u tell me what is the problm with youtube videos ( i m really disappointed with it , is it a youtube problm or a problm with phone .)
2- should i download any anti-virus on 5233 ?
