I bought 5233 on Cash and Carry Mall in Makati PH. It was a very good phone. Affordable and Lightweight, Genuine. The package does not have any cable or extra battery cover and memory card, but it has the additional stylus and the 5800 protective cover. I soo love this coool phone!

The 5230 package will come with earphones, 2gb microsd, strap w/ plectrum, battery, back cover with stylus, and 1 yr warranty from nokia care and 1 sim card from smart with free fridays promo. And 5233 is not better in any way than 5230.

This phone (5233) is very classy even it costs only for about 7200 pesos here in the Philippines. The internet is kinda slow because it has no 3G/HSDPA. I bought mine on Nokia Care. I think that the prices may vary because when I go to Greenhills in Nokia it cost only 7000. The screen is not scratch proof so please take care of the screen or buy a screen protector. Just giving tips! =)

malcolm, 18 May 2010its a joke seriously why wouldyou want tomove from the jet ... morewell, for one, samsung's support isn't as good as nokia's. one example is the fact that i can't update my firmware online by myself without voiding the warranty. i had to bring it to a service center and leave it there for a day while my 5230 was updated within an hour, via internet, in the comfort of my own home without voiding the warranty and without having to deal with rude service center employees. =)

second, jet's screen is good because it's amoled, but lacks customizable features. it goes as far as changing the wallpapers of three homescreen but not changing the phone theme (well the phone comes with pre-installed 3 themes, and they're not any good) or the arrangement of the menu icons, without upgrading to the latest hacked firmware (and risking your warranty). also, screen orientation is painful with jet as the main menu doesn't rotate when you rotate the phone.

third, jet is not a smartphone, something that i'm totally shocked at first. it doesn't even have a copy-paste feature, which for me sucks big time. it's hard to find applications that will work perfectly with jet, unlike the symbian-powered 5230.

fourth, jet's battery life sucks big time. with moderate usage, it lasts for a day and a half. 5230 lasts longer than that, with heavy usage. =)

i only had samsung jet for a month (less three days that it spent with the service center because i was frustrated with its battery performance and outdated firmware), glad to have sold it for like 1,500 less than the price i bought it. no regrets switching from jet to 5230. glad to be back in nokia's arms. =D

i wish to buy one cause there is a price cut here in manila. the only downfall for me is that it has no infrared and wifi. but its looks trendy and now has a reasonable price and basically has the great features of a touchscreen phone.
