but corby isn't smartphone, it's featured phones..

fyi, my 5230 have 45-55 mb ram free
well, maybe because u do a call while browsing youtube and play some games at the same times. thats why your ram is so low..
there are so many ways to free/clean RAM, bcoz 5230 (except fw v20) is hackable.. do your own research and u'll find 5230 is a great device with reasonable pricing..

You guys must have heard about symbian^3, want to get a symbian^3 like look on your phone?
Search for "Solstice pizero" without the quotes in google, open the website in the first result, download the theme, install the full version and get a symbian^3 like look on your phone for free

AwesOme PhonE, only drawback is the lack of Wi-Fi..
On the other hand, the phone is fully customisable and very friendly and stylish!

[deleted post]5233 is also available in the Philippines and is 20% cheaper than 5230. 5230 here comes in white casing only, and 5233 in black.

Raghu, 06 May 2010Its superb music with 5230 but output sound is too low........ moreHey found a neat trick to incerase audio output... Jut digged it up from a 5800 forum in headfi.org.
To increase audio output, select line out option instead of the earphones when you connect your earphones. Just try it and feel the difference. Aapparantly I couldn't feel any deterioration in SQ. So it might be an amp setting for higher output.
Please reply if you get the same result as me.

I am really happy with this phone. I was amazed at the fact that it supported sisx. files and it has some very cool applications. Great phone at this price.

Emir ,here, listen up buddy dat 5230 is as loaded and as slow as the discontinued nokia n73...5230 even wid fw 20.0 sucks at UI responsiveness...its slower than 5233 and also dat...5230 is one of d slowest,sluggish phones ever made...right after 5800(v.21-v.30).and i can probably see that u dont have either of them...on account of ur poor knowledge...sucker!!!
5230 is a system and batter hog!! Eats up d whole 1320 mah batt within less dan 15hours...ram is only 30-35MB FREE AT MOST..

I m from rajasthan i m now almost ready 2 buy... morei don't think virus threats should prevent you from buying this phone. i have lots of virus on my computer and I use the phone both in mass storage and pc suite mode. No probs for me yet. The only thing to worry about is viruses that are specifically targeted for symbian platform. That too is very rare not to mention v3 and v5 are less vulnerable than the symbian s60v2 editions.
just make sure that you do not install unwanted applications from unknown publishers and non reliable sources.

geek, 05 May 2010it does not have wifi my friend..Hmmm.... I was actually referring to the WiFi counterpart a.k.a 5800 with that respect. And I am well aware that 5230 n 5233 lacks WiFi. Sorry for creating that slight bit of confusion.

Hi i want to buy a nokia touch phone 5235 or 5230 or 5233 there are seems similar but i think that 5235 is more specifications then other if we compare. But still 5235 is not avalable in ap, India.
