Hi guys, I hv been using 5233 for last 4 months. Overall,this phn is great. The speaker volume is bit low but its clarity is superb. If u use a good earphone(for me it is of Phillips) the sound quality will b great. Video recording is also amazing. Overall a gr8 experience,but beware of virus...this is very much virus-prone.

Ppl here complain about sound quality issues by using the default headset which is crap by the way..
Even a entry level earphone from sony or philips costing just above 300rs gives you way better audio quality and double the output. So I request each and every one of you to get better earphones and just give it a try. You'll be amazed at the clarity this phone delivers. there is no excuse for your complains as nokia has generously given us a 3.5mm jack to plug in what ever we want. Just wake your senses and try to get a bigger picture by investing in a good pair of earphones. And mind you this is one of the best music phones produced by nokia. It just so happens that all that potential is capped by the lowsy earphones provided by nokia. The better earphones you get the better will be the audio output and quality.
I say this because I get almost audiophile like music quality with my philips she9800 which is my preferred pair of earphones.

Nokia 5233 is a Smart phone at low budget. Samsung corby series and Monte can't even match its performance. Multimedia,Multitasking,Internet,16k Display in all aspects it is way better than Samsung phones. Speaker[Mono] is bit low in volume and the resistive display had no issues at all. It lacks attractive looks but scores high as a convergent device.
Its upto the buyer if he wants style or substance?

My 5233 shows "Not Allowed" when I try and make a conference between two calls I have made..?..Is this feature not available on this phone or am I doing sth wrong..?..Calling Party A and then Party B and then after B picks up go to options and select conference..Right..?

Did u guys ever heard about better earphones?!? Everyone is repeating same thing! Sound is low,sound is bad,sound is poor...well ITS NOT!!! Its perfect!! First read gsmarena's and other reviews! And please go buy other earphones! And u will see how nokia 5230 loud and good can be when it comes to music playback!! First try than talk! Earphones that come with this phone are BAD!

Sound quality is so-so , but over all the gadget is fine , specially for those who use to deal max time on phone .

The sound clarity is very very low . nokia if u are listening pleaes update the firmware or software to give us better clarity
