Music listening becomes better to an extent using lcg jukebox.it is a must have for 5230 users.download and set equalizer to rock then feel the change.

hi every body..i used 5230 since feb 2010 it work good..great cam..high pure video quality specialy..sound is normal..not super sound..but don"t wait a much with that law price !! good mobile.

i've updated the new software succesfully.the music player interface changes,now it looks like n97 music player.then the web become much more better,you can even play youtube videos directly from its pages.then the kinetic scrolling can even be use in the menu(e.g choosing applications).. and maybe the sound quality become much better,thats all i've had noticed so far.(=

this phone sound quality is very bad , and headset also nokia basic model headset its very bad who will buy this much of cost phone..

The changelog is not available yet but based on 5800 changelog there is kineticscrolling in menus quickoffice4.2 is included webbrowser version is updated to 7.2 from 5.0 and lot of bugs have been fixed for official changelog of nokia 5800 google it

raj, 21 Apr 2010can any one please let me know the music quality in 5230??music has no feel when using the phone's mono speaker. plug in some good quality headphones to enjoy music on this phone. only thing bothering is a tick noise when pausing/resuming/seeking during playback of a track.

you have to download nokia software updater from www.nokia.com/softwareupdates and install it to your PC Connect your 5230 to your PC as PC Suite and click update from Update

Awesome Phone worth by value You have so many features with less value....GPS rocks with 5230....Full screen videos ,Handwriting recognition, Home screen contacts, navigation and what not I suggest all you dont think BUy this.......

Prashantg, 21 Apr 2010You are correct but my phone says no updates available when... moreIf you type *#0000# and check for updates, then it will show no updates available. Go to Applications and open software update application and check for updates. It shows the phone software.
At present we can update the software only via PC. We cannot update directly using phone. When the updation is available directly for phone, then using *#0000# shows software update. We have to wait for few days for that to happen.

the phone's a really gud choice,full value of money
camera s quite gud n comparison to other models
bt i lacks n gud sound quality and speakers a bit.....
rest u can go 4 it
it costs just 8k..
