This ph0ne isnt difficult to upgrade its firmware if u just follow its instructi0ns with the use of pc suite.
Actually, there's no need for u to install antivirus apps on this ph0ne unless ur ph0ne is hacked. S60v5 devices havent any rum0red virus or malware attack so far so d0nt w0rry.
But just a reminder th0ugh, scan ur microSD regularly when c0nnecting ur ph0ne to pc. Ur ph0ne is virus free but ur mem0ry card isnt.

Because they are c0mpatible with the same OS and screen resoluti0n. But there are s0me apps that were intended for 5800 only. But in m0st cases, they are c0mpatible so u can install it. Ü

Its a very good phone to watching movies,videos...etc but sound was lower than 5800 and their price was super...!

i'am thinking of getting a nokia 5230, but would realy like to know how loud the ringing volume is, and how well does mxit work on this phone.
also, i'm not really an expert on phones so would it be very difficult to upgrade and does it need an antivirus.?
