(not sure how much exactly),and yes i get just phone,battery,headset,charger and plectum! and about covers...nokia give them just in some countries,some get 2 and some even 3 extra covers! i didnt get even one extra cover :( and they are not avilable to buy!

There's lots of queries and confusion regarding audio quality of Nuron (thats the new name for 5230, I kinda like it). So I'd like to say something in this matter. First of all we should know that Nuron has a 3.5 mm audio jack. It is one of the most common and widely used connectors and is found in almost all music players. Due to this we have a wide variety of compatible headphone models that range from both cheap to those that are of high quality.
Now as far as music quality of Nuron is concerned there are several factors to it like reproduced audio output by the in-built music player, decent headphone and a good pair of ears.
To judge the music quality i.e. sound reproduced by a music system we need a scientific procedure and this has been done by GSMArena Team. Read it here : http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_5230-review-427p6.php under the topic "Perfect audio quality". Their verdict is that Nuron "managed to outdo our expectations, demonstrating the best audio output in the Nokia full touch family" and is "comparable to the best handsets we have tested". They have termed Nuron as "universally superbgood" and "a talented singer".
About decent quality headphones here's a few link to popular brands. The ones with Neodymium magnet are supposed to be very good.

Some of them have quoted the price.
Sony's and Phillips' are just headphones, so you can't make phone calls on it, but on the Nokia's you can. Make sure you buy the one you need and verify with the retailer.

just went to market 2day. 5230 is totally out from kolkata. only 5233 is available and only black version. it has no changeable back covers, usb data cable and memory card. only handset and headset with charger.
and yes the black one did look cheap. guess i shall wait for the next lot of 5230 in white. and yeah i used it hands-on n liked it. although screen is not as responsive or as glazing as samsung star, which i'm currently using. buying 5230 in a week or so...

1)You should have... morethanx yaar. yeah i used nokia 5300 and i absolutely admire nokia's music capabilities. i had philips headphone before then had creative ep-630, and now the sennheiser cx-300. yeah they're great.
does 5233 have GPS?? the dealer told me that it does'nt, and 5230 is not available anymore. its totally out from kolkata.
oh n thanx for the battery tip. yeah first tym shud charge to 100%.

hey, guys i buy this phone at 8000rs and they give me a gennuie nokia data cable and case cover for 5230. Afterward i buyes sony walkman earphone and now sound performances is awesome.........
I think everyone should try sony walkman earphone..... Its much better than philips......

1)You should have got the Headphone of Philips ( as a gift) along with your New phone. I have got the same in "Telephone Shoppe" Pune. Any SE headset gives you best results.
2)Go to any Nokia dealer and ask for a data cable It cost around 200- 300 INR. Check whether it fits your cell phone slot before purchasing.
3)...
4) Type "GPS" and search on this forum. Specifically, read comments from "Prayags" You will come to know each step to start GPS
5)At first use you should charge your cell 100 % before using it.

anand, 09 Mar 2010do u listen 2 music on headphones or loudspeaker?? and how ... moreHeadphones! speaker almost never! when i use gprs all the time it last just 4-5 hrs! and without gprs...well i cant tell exactly! but with 2hrs of music,few calls,50 sms...maybe 2-3 days! generaly this phone has good battery!
