this is a flop modal friends..i buyed this phone 2 months back when it was lonched form the next min it is not with me it is with NOKIA CARE only..guys it has a big bug in this software..if any one buy this just do this n see what is the problem..
just chainge some shotcuts n off theam effects
go to gallery..n open any image
from their click on show applications.
guys that it ur phone was hanged or restarted..n nokia people r not able to solve this problem form 2 months..it means what?
r u people redy to buy this...

I think der is no need to install the settings given by the service provider for GPRS bcoz it is already installed in the set. I'm using airtel(64k) sim, it's working fine.

what's the difference between no... more5230 has GPS with free voice nav. Its in demand. Read further into this forum for more.
5233 is 5230 without inbuilt GPS.
Buy 5230... you get an excellent GPS feature for extra 900 - 1000 bucks.

@RONY-he insisted u coz 5230 have certain defects....i was also confused...shopkeeper told me that there r certain complaints abt 5230 n that it doesn't support vodafone sim...

i went to buy one a few days back
and got confused betn. both and ended up at buying none................
but the shopkeepers insisted me on buying the 5233 i don't know why!!!!!!!!

Bro I replied long back but this SILLY system is Moderating I dont know what. MAN I didnt even copy the whole reply. Alright .... Firstly Update the firmware because this update has a lot to do with the flashlite component & if you are aware of u must be knowing that Youtube completely works on FLASH. This firmware updates the flashlite component to 3.1 and improves the Buffer rate hence the STREAMING Quality & fixes a lot of bugs here n there.
If you are not too positive abt firmware update then try this, use YT in a browser like OPERA and see what the result is.
Also theres one more thing to it ..... most of the service providers have an unlimited service but they deliberately disallow the ONLINE STREAMING Services. You will have to talk to your customer care for that.

I said thats definitely one of the reasons that I am aware of thats causing this kind of problem and no everyone using a 64K SIM is not facing this problem but few people definitely are.
2nd everyone using 5230 doesnt necessarily has to use an old sim but at the same time everyone who is using a New SIM is not necessarily using a 64K Sim alright. It all depends on the Service provider region to region.
To Confirm whether you are using a 64K Sim or not just remove it & see whether it has a 64K CHIP logo somewhere.
About firmware.... NOKIA 5230 has a latest update available and the precise version is v12.0.089 n you can update it through Nokia Software updater or OVI

Normally i browse youtube page with my opera mobile, after selecting clips, just touch , and a message display about the connection afterward its start playing !

k then first try to update your firmware cause this update really had a lot to do with Flashlite & if you know the Technicality of it then you must be knowing that Entire Youtube works on FLASH. So this update is definitely a must for you cause its gonna fix a lot of bugs related to Flash Streaming & Flash Buffer Rate.
Secondly if you want then before updating the Firmware try using a browser like OPERA for YT n see whats the result.
One more aspect is that many service providers do give an unlimited Internet Service but they deliberately disallow online video streaming services for obvious reasons. So check that out with your customer care.
