6303 vs 5233
Good that you don't need GPS or 3G because both doesn't has them.
So the differences are camera, phone size, screen size, smart functionality.
In camera 6303 scores with 3.15 MP snapper with autofocus and dual LED flash. 5233 has a 2 MP fixed focus camera with no flash.
Screen size is better for 5233 with its nHD 3.2" wide resistive touch display with aspect ratio of 16:9. 6303 has 2.2 inches QVGA screen. Clearly 5233 scores big time here.
5233 is smart, has Symbian with Nokia's S60. 6303 has Nokia's proprietory S40. Both have JAVA. But clearly there will be more JAVA apps for 6303 as it has a pretty standard QVGA resolution screen. 5233's nHD is still new but it is growing with newer phones from Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson. (5233 will support JAVA as well as Symbian apps).
6303 is pocket friendlier than 5233. Its smaller.
Another thing is that 6303 has dedicated number pad which is missing in 5233. 5233 has on screen touch input. It'll give you full QWERTY to type messages. And 5233 has accelerometer so it'll recognizes orientation of the phone.
Battery life is another thing to think about before buying a new phone. So 5233 has a larger battery but its battery life is same (according to GSMArena : http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=2909&idPhone2=2658 ) as 6303. This is because 5233 has a power hungry screen which is always ready to respond to every touch.
That is more or less it. Make your choice.

hello friend i am confuse bt 5233 & 6303 which is better what is advantage of smart phone. even there is more software for 6303. but i want a good music phone with high back up. i dont need 3g or gps. suggest which one is better or durable

Lot of people here are saying that there are codecs for playing avi(divx,xvid) files
AFIAK there is no such codecs available
...and if there is any... pl elaborate
The only way to play these files in this fone is using LCG smartmovie

please don't buy this phone and other nokia products..
their service is a big disappoinment..
better buy SAMSUNG and HTC phones!!!

I have bought this phone in indonesia. In my country this 5230 is package with memory card 2gb, cable data, n inside back cover has a stylus too + strap dongle, stereo headset .. I think the package in my country is complete n the back cover is different too

midhunrules, 18 Feb 2010i brought this mobile frm cochin at rupees 8k. They offered... moredude just go to scnisar headphone sound quality is good n when u will select music stand n then select bass booster even walkman headphones are fail....just try cx180.

i brought this mobile frm cochin at rupees 8k. They offered me brand gennuie nokia data cable and 2gb memory card but my problem is headphone output qaulity.. Any one pls suggest me a good quality earphone for my 5230 or can i use ipod earphone for better result of sound output....

Good phone. Call it "Goribon ka smartphone" not "Goribon ka iphone". Bcoz even Nokia N97 can not compete with the apple one. Then what is 5230? Apple iphone is very special.
