any one tell me what is diff bet 5230 and 5235 as per nokia website 5230 has only 3g , 70 mb memory , 256Ram and 5235 has 3g with video calling ,320 memory,512 Ram,With Music 18 month free download

The high price must be due to import duty.
Here in India the phones are mostly assembled in Nokia plants so no import duty. Or else the import duty is 108%. Something like it.
So if you have to import something worth 100 Euro, it'll end up costing you 208 Euros.

why they have not given any specificatins...

but here in stores its available for rs.8000 with 2GB card....
without official launching how a mobile should be available in market....

its a dit... moreI've just downloaded the user guide for 5233, its just one place where it says about GPS, in a picture showing Antenna locations and it shows location of the GPS antenna ( its on the left half little above centre when the device is held screen up ). Nowhere else does GPS is mentioned in the guide. No mention of Ovi maps too.
Most likely they just got the picture from 5230 and GPS is not there in 5233.
Also there is no specification mentioned for 5233 on official Nokia site ( link : http://www.nokia.co.in/get-support-and-software/product_support/nokia-5233 )
Why is Nokia keeping us in dark? If there's a phone it should have its specifications.

Free turn to turn navigation works like a charm on 5230 in INDIA ......anyways this is one of th best phones by NOKIA

If somebody says something that you feel is hateful than there is no need to include "people in India", instead you could have been specific to that person.
I'm replying to your "omg", but lets forget that and "please stop this ok" to you too. No fight...
The reason why you people get it at a higher price may be because of the retail box contents.
In India it comes with battery, charger, headphone.
No memory card or USB cable.
Probably thats why its cheaper.

SO I Guess I have located a Nokia 5230 right now. Although it will cost me more in comparison to most of you here but yet only 200 more when compared to my Best Mobile SHOP.
Let me go and NAB it Quickly before someone else HUNTs it down. This Baby is Mine. Will let youu guys know more later.

Every where you'll find some one who'll hate a particular thing. A person has a right to hate and be vocal about it. And I live in India and don't hate 5230. Don't make such general comments. Almost everyone here is from India and there are more for voices that against voices for 5230.
And to answer you question as per current exchange rates Nokia 5230 costs INR 8300/- around 125 - 130 Euros.

Hey Bro, Just Read whatever I have written & I dont think theres anyone on the BOARD who can say that I am Comfusing People around here. I said you are confusing people becaus ethis is what you said ---"there is no 3G service in India so no use buying 5230 go for 5233 it costs only Rs. 7200"--- For your kind information 3G is already there in India for over a Year Now & in another 4 to 5 months its gonna be in the hands of Big Players (privates like Tata & Reliance), and I never debated over the Price because its different accross India. In Bombay we have to pay the most because we have to pay all sorts of TAXES.
The Biggest Issue is that you are not trying to realise that 5230 & 5233 belong to different categories.
1) Nokia 5230 is a CHEAPER version of 5800 XM
2) Nokia 5233 is a cheaper version of 5235 (another Music Phone) (5235 is not yet released in India)
3) Nokia 5235 is not going to be a CHEAP Phone. Its a Music Phone, with all sorts of other features so its gonnna belong to the 12000 - 13000 Range.
4) Which means we will have two options in the 12K - 13K range..... ie 5235 & 5530 XM.
5) Nokia 5233 does not contain 3G & GPS (as far as my info) & yes it does has a stereo Speaker because offcourse it is a Music Phone.
6) Nokia 5230 only has a Mono Phone & it does not come with a USB Cable.

Hi,
I am thinking to buy this phone but i am confused to buy this phone because its a touch screen phone and i am a sms addicted person.. i usually type 70-100 sms in a day to send my friends bcoz we usually talk by sms.. so can anybody tell me is it reliable in that sense? will excessive sms typing will effect on its touch pad?

Nokia 5233 is a 2G version of nokia 5230. It is affordable touchscreen mobile phone without 3G and wi-fi. The new nokia 5233 mobile phone price will be rs. 7,500 in india. its slightly less than the price of nokia 5230 since nokia 5233 lacks 3g connectivity! here u have it!! no 3g,no thanks!
