The speaker volume is horrible.I tested the set in the concept store . one can easily miss a call. not good at all . also check out the review at gsmarena.they also say the same thing . below average speaker sound. so any one buying should first test the output.

himanshu, 05 Jan 2010i have nokia 5230 its sound volume is same as 5800 but soun... moremy friend its just your feeling as 5800 has stereo sound which is more into bass but 5230 has mono sound which seems to be more sound but not. dont give blunders like this.

i jst wanted to ask abt the data retrival speed frm memory card is fast or not.if possible then fill atleast 1 gb of data in memory card and then check it . coz i have heard that files that r run though memory card takes quit some time to start

i have nokia 5230 its sound volume is same as 5800 but sound quality is better than 5800.. its camera volume cant be silent even in silent mode

@sujith, no this is not an Xpress Music phone but as per the review (read it) it's comparable to an Xpress Music phone, in fact there are aspects of the audio tests wherein 5230 is better than 5800 and 5530. look at the review

got mine two days back @ INRs.8400/- with bill & warranty
no cable, no card & no cover
but can download 10 songs from nokia music store
its good once u get used to its touch
bit bulky
sound quality is a little low
screen is bad @ day light
camera is very poor
battery lasted one day with heavy experimenting on it
already to many scratches on the screen
good side
gprs is fast
screen resolution is good
software is sturdy

The Samsung star is the best touchscreen available in the budget segement.It offers true one-touch experience and not like 5230 where alot of times you need to press twice. Widget interface is the in thing and the star has that.excellent loudspeaker ,slim ,messaging capabilities with wifi also.

I want to buy this phone. There is just one thing I like to know before I do. Is the black body/casing of the 5230 not as sleek and shiny as the 5800? The images used in the review is that of the silver one so it doens't show in the comparison. I wish they used a black 5230 for the review. anyway to those who have hands-on experience holding both phones, how do you compare the color and finish of the 5230 to the 5800. thanks very much
