Just got one yesterday A black 5230 I would say it looks dam dam dam CLASSY trust me when u actually look at it good to hold very responsive touchphone Slightly expensive in Mumbai, India where VAT is applicable 12.5% on the total cost of the cell which is only around 8300 INR Costed me 9300 INR the NPD offered me a data cable a/w 2gb memory card all this for total of 10000 Makes a lot of sense to buy phones which r under 10000 INR bracket the prices are very steady they do not drop very soon example :10000 will not become 5000 or 6000 at the most 8000 or 2500 and on the other hand expensive cell costing like 15000 or 2000 become almost half the price especially the ones do not move AGREE

Nokia user, 04 Jan 2010Someone tell exact in box contents of this phoneIts different from a market to another. In some packages it has 2 additional back covers, USB cable and 1 Gb card. In other markets it has no cable, no card. In Romania, it doesnt have the additional back covers, but it has usb cable and card.

sayan, 04 Jan 2010hi bought this phone.its awesome.its vague to buy 5800 beco... moreIts good actually that it comes without a memory card and a USB cable.
People who wants it can buy it but who do not want it shouldn't. So this way you are saved by not paying for something you don't want just because it is included in the sales package.
Same is about the mico SD card. People who want it can buy the one they like and this saves you from buying a not-so-useful 1 or 2 GB card with the phone. You can buy a 8 or 16 GB one.
Removing things from the retail pakage, Nokia has brought the price down for an average user.
Makes sense, doesn't it?

Bought one today from Mumbai @ 9k from priority dealer.
Haven't used it extensively yet.
I would like to tell everyone to buy from local dealers.As priority dealer didn't provide me any accessories with it.NO USB ,NO SCRATCH GUARD , NO MEMORY STICK.I had to purchase all these necessary stuffs which cause me 1k more.
On the other side , dealers are giving offers with it ( for eg 1gb memory card , bluetooth headset etc ).So my request to all , buy from local dealers who provide good offers.

You need to find out what is that you want from a phone.
5530 XpressMusic has WiFi, doesn't has 3G and GPS.
5230 has 3G and GPS, doesn't has WiFi.
5530 XM has a 2.9" display. 5230 has got a 3.2" one.

Dear Friends,
I am from Mumbai (India) & planning to buy 5230 tomorrow (3rd Jan). My friend from office recently got E72. He uses the same for "Mail for Exchange" to view his corporate emails.
Can someone please urgently confirm whether the functionality/ features of Mfe in 5230 will be same as in any E series phone.
