it depends upon the preferences of the users... I'm really contented for phone's features as long as it can handle calls very clearly and send & receive texts immediately. This phone is also a musicphone, music rocks... For me, another best phone that nokia had produced... Thank you...

But if you ask me, I prefer 5230 for it's shape which is more pocket-friendly than the e63 and you can use either normal typing or full qwerty which I think is more flexible as you can type the 5230 with just one hand... All in all they're almost as good as the other and comes down to what you think you'll be more comfortable with...

bought this phone for just 8000 peso...its so cheap..
the package i have is different it has a 4GB card but no changable back covers. it also has stylus..

Sound quality on good earphones (just about any earphones that are not bundled) is superb. If sound quality on earphones is not good enough, then it's the earphones limitation. Hope this helps.

This is a good replacement for my old nokia n73 but when is it avaible in South Africa samsung star / corby is avaible hope it will be less than R2000-00.

Difference between 2G and 3G...
Well they are all about data download speeds.
So if you use your phone for internet browsing over your network provider (and not Wi-Fi) the speed of data download will increase considerably provided :
1. Your network provider is 3G compliant
2. Your phone supports 3G
3. You have 3G activated on your mobile no.
The speeds of 3G are in the range of 384 kbps to 10 Mbps. 5230 support maximum 3.6 Mbps. But the speed you'll get will be determined by your network provider according to your 3G data plan.
3G speed are also high enough to support videocall i.e. if the person you want to talk to has the above three requisite and plus he/she has a secondary videocall camera on his/her phone (which by the way Diamond2's 3G version has) you will be able to talk to them by looking at him/her on your screen and he/she will be able to do the same.
Unfortunately 5230 doesn't has a secondary camera, so 3G will be limited to data downloads.

Installed nUnlock, Quickoffice, Adobe reader, opera mini and mobile and a few games. Maybe you just need to update it's firmware. There's an equalizer in this phone you can even create your own presets.
btw, After upgrading the firmware the audio quality on earphones got better. The 5530's audio quality can't even compare to this phone (and yes, I used the same create ep-630's on the 5530).

i bought this phone today it seems great,but i could not install "sis" games and the music player dos not have equalizers but the phone works great!!!!and its UI is a lil tricky to use with fingers some times.This phone is for those who cant afford a XM5800 and it dos live up to its name :)
