instead of buying this put few more dollars and get 5800 navigation or music edition becoz specs are satisfactory. its just my opinion.

Just be dont sure to buy 5230 or 5530 because 5800 is still the king... and its just near the price of the lower one... not exceeding 100 dollars.. so if i were you... ill still buy 5800 :D

Don't forget most S60v3 sw won't work properly as you don't have hardware keys ;-)

** Nokia has pushed the release date to January 2010 on cristmas eve.
** Price is 10000 rs/150 euro.(before tax).
** it has better touch response with Kinetic scrolling,so u can scroll down without touching the side scroll bar.
** amazing display with 16M Colour.
**slightly bulky,but itz helpful for grab the device and touch the display.
** slightly Slower than 5800xm,but u can't distinguish hardly.
** Has 3G option But no video call.
....Nokia 5230 is the best phone with lotz of good features at such a less price if u sacrifice about 2 mp fixed focus camera and no memory card included.
I am waiting for 5230..love you nokia

In our quest to find the best phone, we forget that branding is very important for corporates. So if SE comes out with a cybershot phone, one can expect it to be a phone with good camera performance. Nokia has very painstakingly improved music playback capability with its XpressMusic brand which today equals the iPod. Samsung or LG doesnt care about branding their phone and expects their phones to sell on factors like youth appeal, external design, contrasting colours etc.. Nokia phones have build quality and performance on their side.

Thus you get access to far more softwares compared to Star on which you have the option of JAVA applications only.

Samsung S5600 or well known as Star 3G is far better than 5230.At a price equal to 5230 it provides 3.15 MP camera with flash,secondary camera,Gesture control,compact design and a fabulous touchscreen.On the other hand 5230 has only basic 2MP Camera neither having flash nor face detection and smileshot.It is also very bulky.So choice is yours.Dont go for name,go for features
