Nokia is losing game to Samsung by delaying availability if this phone (atleast in India). Few days back it was only Samsung Star there but now Samsung has whole range of Corby ready to kill Nokia 5230 and 5530 with ultra its low price.

3.2" screen is not big , anything smaller than this is SMALL also don't make too thin not good for grip when do touching, my personal advice. I'm using 5800.

mir, 08 Oct 2009what's the advantage of Nokia 5230 over samsung 5230. I jus... moreThe main advantage nokia 5230 over samsung is that it has Symbian OS, furthermore nokia 5230 also sports GPS receiver and finally it has better touchscreen I mean 3,2" 16.000.000 360x640 vs 256.000 3" 240x400.
Unfortunately nokia is going to be much more expensive.

what's the advantage of Nokia 5230 over samsung 5230. I just need a torch screen fone which is affordable and can take good pics.

For all you guys out there:
Samsung Star runs propriety OS while the 5230 runs s60v5 ... If you really need a smartfone, go for the 5230 ...
I am currently using 5800 and samsung star ... The 5800 is obviously better if u plan to watch movies and stuff ... The audio quality is better ... but thye touch response in better in star ... plus the home screen is more practical ...
So if u can live withoput a 3.5mm jack and smartfone functionality , go buy the STAR wIFI INSTEAD OF EITHER THE STAR OR THE 5230 ... You get Wifi + a good UI ....
Also if u invest a little, u will get a samsung to 3.5mm converter

I think this is better as 5800 is laggy and spoils faster than expected.Wow my next pay is going to this phone man!

which is... morebro do some reserch, compare the specs n instead of askin others ask urself wat u want and wat u aint
btw if u wanna go for samsung star than buy samsung star "wifi"....now its priced at only Rs8900 + a bluetooth headset absolutely free(worth rs 1.9k) so the effective price of star wifi is Rs 7000.(e zone)
