If you think, listening to songs and sending text message is full multitasking then you are badly mistaken. An example of full multitasking is this,
Listen to song+download torrent+browse net using opera+keep a youtube video buffering in the default web browser, all this while waiting for the tabbed pages in opera to load.
Can a cookie do this? Am waiting for you answer.

Out of that 7 mb is kept as a reserve for emergency cases(i don't know what). So, you get 121mb ram left for normal funtinality of the phone. Again, out of this, almost 40+ mb is taken up by system processes leaving around 70mb for 3rd party application.
So, you are totally mistaken. What you seeing is the available ram, not the free ram.

I've updated my 5233 with the new software version (V40.1.003). This SW update make my phone super fast. And I'm surprise that now I've 121.06 MB RAM. Previous it was 85 MB. Can someone describe how its happen?

cool breeze, 27 Jan 2011anybody knows a theme effect which works while rotating the... moreThere are many effects that gives rotation transitions but katalyst cfw which is based on the original firmware can't show it. Reason is that the necessary .dll files that are needed to be present in the core (which processes the effects and displays on the screen) is absent. On the other hand, c6 based cfws can show such transitions because the firmware core has those .dll files. Just like these specific effects, the grid structure of katalyst too can't be changed.
Up until firmware v12 of 5233, all these effects worked as the dlls were present, but after nokia's firmware update to v20, all these disappeared.
So, hard luck mate. No matter what you do, you can't add those effects. And this is one of the reasons why I ask people not to update immediately as who knows what might disappear.

To begin with, Cookie though a pretty good phone cannot be compared with 5233 as they fall under two different segments and are aimed at different level of users. Cookie is just a feature phone with a touch UI while 5233 is a true smartphone with smartphone features like true multitasking and native 3rd party application support.
5233 is meant for power users who depends on a lot of different apps to get a lot of things done at the mane time. Even display wise, 5233 wins hands down with a hi res 640x360 widescreen display with 16million colour support while cookie just has a 400x240 display with just 262K colour support.
If you're looking for a basic touch phone and don't wanna overcomplicate things, then cookie is best suited for you. But if you're looking for a phone with more features, apps and customisation, then 5233 is without doubt the best option.

Yes the line out mode is really meant for use with an amp but as long as you don't use too much volume, it wouldn't cause any problems right? In line out mode the frequency response is far better than in headphones mode. I suspect that some kind of low pass filter is implemented in headphones mode so as to reduce the frequency range. This way most low end earphones can work well without introducing much noise and distortion. Noise is the culprit which causes hearing problems and not the music itself. So in a way, line out option is better than earphones mode provided a good pair of earphone is used and the volume turned down.
