I have seen it somewhere else as well. NFE can edit rofs3. Select file type as ALL when you browse for rofs. Add the rofs3 file you want to edit, follow the same process of rofs2. NFE can also extract/edit core files. But i read that when we repack it the file gets damaged and we may end up with a briked phone.

Flyaway effect works when opening anything... moreNo no. I ain't talking about the application opening flyaway effect. I am talking of this one. Suppose, i opened a folder in menu. Then the screen goes back towards infinity then flips vertically and during this, another screen (the one that you are supposed to end up in) slides from the right (slides from left if you go back).
Btw, please upload rofs3 editor software to my gmail account. Or whatever editing software you are using. The one i am using can edit only rofs2 and uda. Its name is Nokia firmware editor v0.7 by pnht.

Flyaway effect works when opening anything(except menu) from homescreen(oratsu).
For adding effects to Katalyst, simply edit rofs3. That should replace all the effects applied in rof2(original), that's what I have done. Will try to figure out the rotation/orientation effects problem later.

Every effect except rotation works, even flyaway effect works but only when we close some apps/folders. I'll try mixing it up a bit, maybe compare it with revenge and see if some renaming will do the trick. I don't think that 5233fw is incapable of using heavy effects as revenge was able to display full dejavu effects without any problems. These effets ain't as heavy as dejavu particle effects.

Hey guys, i found something. Share your thoughts on it.
Today, i reverted back to katalyst to check if i can put in the same transition effects in it as i did with c6. But it wasn't happening. First, there isn't an rofs2 file in katalyst cfw. So i edited the original rofs2 and put in the transition files. But after flashing, the katalyst transitions override the ones i put, making them useless. So all i saw was the original transitions of katalyst.
So i thought of flashing my phone with the original files of the latest firmware. But again editing the rofs2. This time i was able to see the transitions. But that too partially. I mean that not all transitions worked. Especially the most cool ones i.e screen rotation effect while changing orientation and the fly away effect while opening folders in menu.
So the things that i presumed after this experiment is that the original firmware related mods don't support heavy transitions but only the firmware posted from c6 is capable of doing the same.
Utk and side, if you can then please make some experiments from your part using different cfws, to confirm what i discovered. Try using cfws that has rofs2 file, eg revenge^6.
Btw, my brother took 5233 for a day or two, so am unable to experiment further. Hence the request (in case you are wondering).

shuvo, 09 Dec 2010katalyst^2 or c6 v20 which is better and safe for my 5233.Katalyst^2 and c6 v20 are both safe.. But its up to you in which of that fw u are more compatible.. In my phone i chosed c6 unleashed 2 v20, it has more feature and saves more battery life...

I like it better than any walkman headsets which has almost no treble at all... Philips SHH9700 has the right balance of treble and bass I guess. BTW how much did you pay mate?

Wanna play music in loudspeaker of this phone ?install power mp3. Play it in full volume and in full treble preset. Aha,better volume without any distortion.
Note:never select any preset including bass.otherwise people will hear the 'crack' sound of that famous loudspeaker. ha ha ha hoy!

[deleted post]Lg cookie is not smartphone it is a java feature phone and it's display resolution is very small when compared to nokia 5233. Become smart with this smartphone.
