I had tried it when you mentioned it few weeks ago. Still it's a neat trick, although you cant hide your personal things from everyone. But good enough to hide "whatever" from the annoying girls of my class. hehe.

The following method is not a fiddling/hacking and it is a genuine method (sb,utk,sorry for this copy paste work ). Go to www. s60certkey.com. Register and apply for cert and key for
your phone using your phone's imie
number.Download freesigner(search google). Your cert and key must be present in
phone/card memory. Open freesigner.. Options > settings > sign cert, now
select your cert present in your
memory.
same way click sign and select your
key.
Once you done that click back then click "Add task".
Now navigate to your unsigned app,
select your app. Now options > add >
sign sis. Go to the location of your app, you will
find the signed app there. Install it and enjoy.

mm, 31 Oct 2010can i go for nokia 5233 or nokiaE63Nokia 5233 will be a much better choice than nokia E63. If you go through their respective specifications then you will know the difference. One of the major difference is the screen. Another would be the excellent high resolution video recording capability of 5233 vs the lowest quality video recording capability, available in todays world, of E63. Besides, nokia 5233 has got a much faster processor (which can beat nokia n95 very easily).
The only difference in E63's case would be its 3g capability. But this version of 3g is very old. It can go to a maximum of something below 400 kbps, compared to todays standard of 2-10 mbps 3g speeds.

e63 is much better than 5233..
But 5230 is much more okay than e63.

Now all one needs is to put a password to the software which can only detect the folders (and which applyied the attribute to the folders in the first place).
Btw, how about you try this. Suppose you have ten files inside a folder, say, 'new folder'. Now apply 'system folder' attribute to this folder. Then go to the phone's default file browser and go to 'find' option in the 'options' soft key. There you try searching for one of the 10 files that you have inside the 'new folder'. Even now if the phone can't detect the file(s) then this will be a 100% full proof solution to our much needed privacy management. Try it and let us know. Although there is little probability of anyone knowing what to find, but just in case.
