hey guys if u want to buy a touch and less cost mob ..go 4 samsung corby pro...it is long lasting ..has no prob where else nokia touch screen has >> pro has better cam and music ..it is small and thin ..and has wifi connection where nokia 5233 as nothing of these ...knw its on u which mob u like bye

Well that was almost an year ago so it could be slightly different now. CX300 is a lot similar to EP-630 in terms of not just design but also audio performance. It's widely discussed on many forums. I'm not aware of any which is better than 9800 within your budget (in terms of mrp), well nothing from the philips and senny staple. Perhaps there could be some sony models. I think the CX300II would probably be a downgrade in terms of sound stage, I'h never seen any reviewer praising it's sound stage.
If you need to know the price of any models then i can check them out for you. But you will have to wait for some time as I'm a bit busy with my college work lately and things are gonna get worse in coming days.

The reason the install application folder is taking time is because you have many applications lying all over the memory card. I recommend you to not open the install application folder, because of the following reasons, it doesn't show all the applications in your memory card; after installation of a particular application the phone again starts searching for the applications in order to refresh the list hence taking even more time. During this time if you lose your patience and press any buttons then the phone freezes(most of the time). I never open install application folder. Using the default file manager to search and install application is what i do.
2. No you can't change the touch sensitivity. Being oversensitive is a good thing. Although oversensitive is itself a meaningless word in case of resistive touchscreens.
3. Many of us here are searching for a way to make certain folders undetectable to the gallery. Haven't found any way till now. Although there is a CFW that has this feature. I forgot its name, (hey utk, what was its name?). Although making the phone's media player to search for songs from particular folder is a common feature in any CFW. There is no way (as far as i know) to lock any folder using passwords. I recommend you to use CFWs, as they make the phone much faster.
4. Till now i haven't found a reason why the phone decreases overtime. The phone detects these files as User Files, although it has nothing useful in it. So, resetting the phone once a month is a good way of keeping the phone memory healthy. Note: when you create backup file, don't select the last option.

Got this phone 2 days ago, ,after selling my Lg cookie. This is a lot faster in response time, scrolling through numbers, texting and menu usage. Deleting items like texts are also very quick, a lot quicker than lg cookie. Cookie's advantage is that is it a little thinner, it would fit in the pocket, but the nokia 5233 is bulkier and a little heavier. I thought the material/build of nokia 5233 is a little cheaper in comparison to lg cookie. HOWEVER, i much prefer the nokia for response time and user interface. Texting is a bliss. love it and surely recommend it. same price range in Brazil.

Philips SHE9700, cost &l... moreUtk mate... I planning to buy another pair of earphones as I think my philips she9800 finally deserves a retirement. It has served me well for almost a year. In addition I also own a SHH9700 but I use it mostly during commutes. I prefer the quality of my 9800 for listening to music when I'm home especially before bedtime. In my city Kollam, it costs almost the same as the mrp i.e. 2500rs. Can you tell me the pricing in rupees and from where I can get it cheap.
For the time being I ain't gonna risk my savings on other alternatives like Sound magic PL30 or the CX300 as I don't think it will improve on SQ and soundstage apart from better noise isolation. Do you think there is a better alternative to the 9800? My budget is 2500 so CX300II and she9850 is out of my league. The important thing is I don't want to downgrade. I'm hoping for something better than 9800 at this price range or else I'm perfectly alright buying another 9800.

This phone lacks the GPS hardware and depends on Network based positioning. So the accuracy of your position is subject to the proximity of the cell towers within the phone's range. So the closer the cell tower, the tighter the range of your location.
But do note that only some network towers and providers share the cell id position data with the device. A typical eg is that Airtel in my city supports location based positioning while my Reliance GSm sim does not. That means even if I have GPRS activated on my Reliance SIM it won't be able to display my current location. But everything else works just fine like map browsing and other maps services.
I've also noticed that Google maps has a better accuracy of pin pointing location than Nokia maps. Also Nokia maps takes a bit more time to update location than Gmaps. It might be because much of the computation is done on the phone itself instead of the cloud.

utk,sbdevilmind,sidewinder need sum help out here..well i installed ovi maps of 5230 frm d site..well it works fine..but it is unable to show my curent position...its shows my neighbouring city!!well i had tried gmaps bfore it worked fine..but nw even i doesnt show my position..says unavailable to show current position..i tried installing both seperartly so two maps apps r not a issue..can u suggest a solution?

Nokia 5233 this gud in responding to finger tips. 16 million colours gives u better clarity... battery backup is fine...it gives u more once u decrease the brightness. If u r Crazy abt MUSIC...its good to buy...if 3G is compulsory go for 5230.
